What an awesome day! Today we learned how the Mass is a meal and about the virtue of Faith. We had a visit from St. Michael the Archangel. In fun and games we played a game with our shoes off like how the disciples had their shoes off at the last supper. In the craft station we made monstrances that remind us we have to have faith to believe in the true presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. In the music station not only did we learn more songs but we learned the Nicene Creed. Faith station was really special because Fr. Nick was able to join us for a tour of the sacristy and the rest of the kids got to visit the adoration chapel and the stations of the cross. Tomorrow is our last day to bring in money for our fundraiser to raise our St. Philip statue. We also have Mass at 8:45 a.m. and all are welcome to join us.

We had so much fun today! Today’s virtue was unity. In fun and games we played a game where we had to work together to stand up to remind us that we had to unite to stand up for Jesus. In the craft station, we colored puzzle pieces that will be united into one large art piece. In the faith station some of us got to go to the adoration chapel and some of us got to have a behind the scenes look at the sacristy with Deacon Charlie! Tomorrow we will have another special guest in the faith station. We also had a visit from St. Patrick. Students also got to bring home a holy water bottle of their very own. Looking forward to another fun filled day!

Another great day of VBS! Today’s theme was the Mass is a gift and virtue was peace. In crafts we made banners to show the gifts in our lives. In fun & games we played games that reminded us we are a gift from God. In the faith station it was mini Mass day which is always a favorite. Today all the participants received a finger rosary and brought home their bags they made yesterday. We even had a visit from Mary Queen of All Saints. Don’t forget to continue bringing in money for our fundraiser to mount the St. Philip statue on the front of the church. Can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow!

Vbs is off to a great start! We had a a visit from St. Joan of Arc. During fun & games we played games to practice our virtue of patience. We also practiced patience in the craft station. We passed around a bag to decorate and had to be patient to see what the bag would look like when it was done. In music we learned two songs “Come Live in Me” and “We Come to You.” In the faith station we had a tour of the church and had a demonstration of how confession cleans our soul. It was a great day and we can’t wait for Day 2!

Also with the heat this week, it would be a good idea to send your kids with a water bottle.
