Manifest Presence of God
"'Thus says Lord Yahweh, "When I gather the house of Israel from the peoples, among whom they are scattered, and will manifest My holiness in them in the sight of the nations, then they will live in their land which I gave to My servant Jacob." [Ezek 28:25 LSB]
"And I will magnify Myself, I will manifest Myself as holy, and I will make Myself known in the sight of many nations; and they will know that I am Yahweh."' [Ezek 38:23 LSB]
"And Isaiah is very bold and says, "I WAS FOUND BY THOSE WHO DID NOT SEEK ME, I BECAME MANIFEST TO THOSE WHO DID NOT ASK FOR ME." [Rom 10:20 LSB]
Manifest - [ man-uh-fest ]
adjective - Readily perceived by the eye or the understanding; evident; obvious; apparent; plain: a manifest error.
Psychoanalysis. Of or relating to conscious feelings, ideas, and impulses that contain repressed psychic material: the manifest content of a dream as opposed to the latent content that it conceals.
Verb (used with object) - to make clear or evident to the eye or the understanding; show plainly: He manifested his approval with a hearty laugh. To prove; put beyond doubt or question: The evidence manifests the guilt of the defendant.
The scripture talks about God being manifest. Manifest is to be readily perceived to the eye and the understanding. As a Verb it means to make clear or evident.
We long for the manifestation of God. We long to see him clearly in our lives. We often hope he does the work. This is not how it happens. Something cannot be manifested if it is not present. Something that is not in the room cannot be made manifest or be perceived readily to all that are in the room unless it is manifest to the other senses such as hearing or smell. The object has to be in the presence of the one perceiving. There is no other way. The more that thing is present, the easier it is to perceive it. I can hide a glass of water under a bed and it's not perceived. I can fill the room with water and all in the room will perceive the water is there. God's presence and Glory only works when we have invited God into our room. When we usher God's presence in then we can hear it, smell it, feel it taste it and touch it. We can also sense it with our intuition. We must notice God's presence when it is near unless our senses are dulled or we don't want to acknowledge it. A skunk in a room is always perceived unless we plug our noses. Think of God's presence as such.
Over and over the scripture references this ongoing relationship with our Lord. We are to abide in Him as the branch abides in the vine. We must remain in him
If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. Jan 15:7
So often we read - my words remain in you and forgo the first half to remain in him. Worship, thanksgiving and praise are a means of remaining in Him. This is what He longs for and what we are MADE for. Worship in the evening, worship in the morning. We are made for it. And when we do it, we can expect - ask - look for His presence to be active. He wants to be active- To manifest.
Why can't I just pray for someone and watch them be healed? You can. This is one way we are compelled to bring Him glory. We must have an expectation for the gifts to be active - healing, prophecy, words of knowledge, wisdom, tongues, miracles etc.
Spend time in his presence on a daily basis. Morning and evening turn the TV off and put down the phones. Sing praise from your heart and then ask him to make manifest to you His presence. Ask for words, miracles and understanding. Look for his love and peace. Then practice that presence among those who need to know him. You will be amazed at the glory of his presence!

There are times when we see miracles of God's presence manifested. Many times they are in spite of us rather than because of us. When we are first saved, when an unbeliver is convinced of God's presence because of a healing or word given to them. It is important that we remain in God's presence daily. The world is dying. Hope is failing, darkness pursues each of us. We must shine the lite like a lamp in a room. Do not let God's light hide under the bed!! Display it on the lamp stand of your life for all who are in the room to see!
