Communion Church

Communion Church We meet Sundays at 9a & 11a Communion Church is a gathering of sinful people trying our best to reflect the love of Jesus, the one who has saved us.

We get together as one family once a week on Sunday to hear Him speak through His Word — which He gave us in the Bible, and respond in song and Communion — which is a sign given to us to remember the work of Jesus Christ. The rest of the week we are still the church, we just live out our worship in how we work, eat, and play. We are regular people, with problems, habits, and busy schedules. We hop

e you find a church home with us, but we understand if you don’t. We really care that you come to love our God

'When you come to church, we want it to be human; from the people reading, playing instruments, singing, preaching, to those advancing the slides and filling up the communion cups. We believe this is important, because the body of Christ, with each part playing its role, and the unity and gratitude that it builds, is the purpose for coming together every week. As society becomes more inhumane, the solace of the church is going to be even more important. As people look for a place of rest apart from the constant barrage of AI, our church will feel like peace.'

'We need more people who are willing to bear with one another and less who dream of what could be. By imagining the ideal, we get further from it, while seeing the work of Christ in another person gets both of us both closer to His ideal. It is in learning to love those that are hard for us to love (which all real people are) that we learn how well we have been loved.'

This goes along with Paul's appeals for unity in Ephesians 2 and 3:

'If that’s the case, how do we move forward? I hope we can get better at making the most persuasive and charitable case for the positions we hold, while remaining open to critique and refinement. We should expect faithful Christians to disagree with us. We recognize that churches will often have different instincts, different cultures, different postures. And whenever we don’t see eye to eye, we should work hard not to assume the worst about those whose conclusions differ from ours.

There will be no unconditional surrender in today’s evangelical civil wars. No total victory. No unquestioned defeat. So that leaves us with harder, slower work: hearing a brother or sister out, pinpointing the real place of disagreement, praying for and cheering on those we differ from, and partnering wherever genuine alignment exists.'

Disagreement among faithful Christians isn’t new, and it’s often our surprise that leads us to wrong assumptions.

'As a pastor, I want to talk about the cart. The Christian life and all that God is doing in His world and how to grow in sanctification – this is my job. I want to make sure that we are doing it in a way that grows our passion for the gospel. While the cart brings a great deal of depth and weight to our faith, without the gospel there is no faith. While the two are both important, they are not equal.'

'When our faith goes from being personal and about our story to being shared and about God’s story, it changes how we see the other Christians around us. We are all caught up in the same redemptive plan, even if we play a slightly different role within it. With this blessed assurance, we also sing the same song.'

'Waiting implies that you will get going again. This is not a call to inaction. It is a reminder to us that our natural reaction is to step out in front of God. To get distracted by the chaos. When this happens we do less; we miss out on the things that we can change that are right in front of us.

Make sure that there is time in your schedule to be still. '

'Over the last few months, certain themes have been coming up in our elder meetings, in sermons, and in our times of reflection. The elders decided to compile these as an end of the year list: 26 thoughts for 2026. Truthfully, it is 13 ideas, complimented by 13 verses. They give us some things to think about as we enter the new year.'

What a great night dwelling on the joy of the incarnation. Thanks to the kids for leading us, those who played music, those who wrote and directed the pageant.
