UPDATE: 12/12/2019
So it looks like our first service in the "new" building will be Sunday, January 5th, 2020! What a way to start a New Year, huh? :) Looking forward to seeing what God will do!
Hello! I need to create a timeline for some things that are happening with our ministry recently...
On Nov. 10th, we traveled out of town to go have service with a group of people who have no pastor.
We went for a second service the next weekend on Nov. 17th.
Both times we had good church and good fellowship with these people.
But their church building was put up for sale and there was no place for us to have service, so we couldn't go the next two weekends. We were heartbroken, but still trying to leave it in God's hands.
Around the 6th or 7th of December, we thought it was over, just feeling after the Will of God, & nothing was happening. The issue of not having a place to have service was just too big for our limited resources...so we had to again put it in the hands of God!
It was around this time that I placed a post on that city's Facebook local "talk" page, asking if anyone had any suggestions about a place to temporarily hold services. A few suggestions were given & two local ministers sent messages.
When we thought nothing would work, I contacted the ministers to let them know things were on hold & to thank them for reaching out to us. They both let us know that if things changed, they'd be willing to talk with us.
But one of them stood out to me. On our second visit, we had driven by a church building that used to be an Apostolic church, that both my husband & myself have been in several times for services. We drove by & I snapped a couple pics for sentimental reasons.
One of ministers that contacted me actually was the current pastor of the group that is in that same church right now! We were shocked!
I asked him to call my husband & He said he would. The rest of that day went by...nothing. The whole next day...nothing. We began to pray...asking God that if this wasn't His will, to stop the process & put a huge block up that no one could question!
That brings us to today: December 10, 2019. While my husband was at work, he heard the alert on his phone that he had a message. When he looked, it was that minister that had called! When he went on his lunch, he called the man back.
Now here's the REAL shocker: the man offered to let us use his building and facilities... for as long as we need it... and FREE OF CHARGE! Now how's that for a miracle?!?
I'm still trying to wrap my mind around this miracle... :)
