It's hard to believe our Faith Formation year is wrapping up. Two weeks from today is our Closing Mass and Open House. All families are welcome to join us for the closing Mass. If your child would like to help with Mass, please let Marcy know.

There will be an Open House following Mass. Treats and time to chat with your child's catechist in the Lower Level.

Chances are you have received a handwritten card from the parish at some point, whether it was when you had a baby, were sick, joined the church or celebrated a milestone anniversary.

Did you know we have a dedicated group of volunteers who write those cards? We are looking for four more volunteers. The time commitment is one month a year and all the materials are provided by the parish. If you are interested please call Thelma Rife, Card Writing Ministry coordinator, 319-895-6357.

ICYMI: The next step of the Journey in Faith was announced this weekend. In July St. John the Baptist will become part of the Cedar Rapids Area East Pastorate.
A pastorate is a group of parishes working together more closely, sharing leadership, ministries, and resources so that we can strengthen our mission and better serve our communities.
The pastorate will be served by three priests: Fr. Ken Glaser will serve as pastor with Frs. Polycarp Hagan and Hung Le serving as parochial vicars.
Stay tuned for more information to come over the next several months and please continue praying for the Journey in Faith process as we begin preparing to enter this next stage.
