Children's Church this morning....we talked about communion. Using the book "Gathered at the Table", we learned what communion means and some different ways Communion is served. We shared some of the different forms of communion, from the bread tray with the chalice for intinction, to the tray of communion cups to be passed through the pews, to the "COVID" communion individual cups of juice with the wafer on top of juice. Anything can be used to represent Jesus’ body- even crackers or pretzels. The kids did great answering the questions about communion, they have been participating in communion for some time. Luann Noble McCauley did a great job, it was a great lesson with great visuals!! Thanks to Luann and Melissa Lord Shaw for their leading!! And thanks to Bonnie Beeman for the book, pictures and narrative.
