The Piecemakers tied their 100th quilt for this year today. We are a small group of about 7 people with one working mostly at home to accomplish this.

Most of our tops and backers are made at our homes and then we meet each Tuesday afternoon at church to add batting and tie them.

There will be no quilting on Tuesday, May 26th. We will quilt again on Tuesday, June 2nd, from 12 noon until 3:30.

Rev. Wayland Middendorf will be the pastor this Sunday and also the next, Palm Sunday.
Come and welcome him! 10:30 am both Sundays.

Also, we will have a joint Maundy Thursday service at 5 pm on April 2 with Tom Ellison or Gwen Southerd. Communion will be served.

Easter Sunday, Ruth Taylor will officiate. at 10:30 am.

Susan and I decided to tackle my scrap baskets today and make mission quilts. She pulled fabric, ironed and sorted into same size strips. I basically sat and sewed most of the day on the ones with many colors. She was on the serger sewing the ones with fewer pieces. She also serged several backers that I had cut and had ready to sew. All together it was a very productive day! However my scrap baskets are still full!!!

Big thanks to the lady from Marion that donated these 2 tops to our quilting group! They are tied and bound and ready for their new home!

Also a big thanks to the quilting ladie at Our Redeemer Lutheran that donated a roll of batting to us! We were able to get 18 quilts made using this donation.

And last but not least, thank you Pastor Otte for bringing it to us!!!

We really appreciate all donations to make our mission possible!

Calling all mission quilters and want to be mission quilters!!!

Winter break is over and we will be meeting again in the church fellowship hall each Tuesday afternoon from noon until about 3:30 starting tomorrow, January 6th!!!

We have many quilt tops and backers ready to tie! If you can tie a square knot, we could use your help!

Christmas Eve service, December 24th, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church will be a joint service with the Presbyterian Church at 5:00 pm. Tom Ellison will be leading the service.
