Today we celebrate and honor the mothers, grandmothers, and all the women who love and care for others so faithfully. We know this day can hold both joy and tenderness, and we’re grateful to gather together in community.

We’re excited to officially welcome Jarod Cooley back to BCCMV as our new full-time Director of Youth Ministry and Contemporary Music Leader!

Many of you already know Jarod from his years of serving at Bethany previously, and we’re grateful to welcome him into this new/expanded role.

Jarod is passionate about walking alongside students as they grow in their faith, wrestle with important questions, and discover how God’s Word speaks into everyday life.

His heart is to cultivate a youth ministry grounded in discipleship, biblical truth, and authentic community — a place where students feel known, supported, encouraged, and challenged to deepen their relationship with Christ.

We’re thankful for Jarod and excited for this new season of ministry. We can’t wait to see how God will work through him in the life of our church and students!

Scripture forms us. It teaches us. It shapes our understanding of what it means to be human. It tells us what it means to follow Jesus and how to be servants of Christ in the world.

It’s not something we turn to only when it’s convenient—
nor something we twist to prove we’re right.
It stands over us, not the other way around.
It rebukes us, and confronts our arrogance so that we can think and behave differently.
It corrects us, and restores what's broken.
