Temptation rarely looks dangerous at first.

If it did, most of us would run from it.

Instead, it often arrives looking attractive.

Harmless.

Desirable.

Even reasonable.

“Satan is both a fashion designer and an interior designer. He first appeals to the eye and then shouts, ‘Gotcha!’ Then he goes to work on the ‘inside job.’”

Sin often begins with what catches the eye, but it never intends to stay there.

What we continue to entertain can eventually reach the heart—shaping our desires, thoughts, and choices.

That is why Scripture tells us:

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” — Proverbs 4:23

Not everything that looks good is good for us.

Be careful what you allow through your eyes to take root in your heart.
