Here is a poem Earl Duck wrote. I remember reading alot of his poems at Grace Baptist when I lived in Mt. Vernon. I hope some one is still sharing some of his poems at times.

THANK YOU LORD

I started counting all my blessings
And adding up all my woes.
My list of troubles is shrinking
And my list of blessings grows.

Seems like all my problems
Are beat out by the good.
There's a fire in my heart to serve Him
And He keeps piling on the wood.

Some things don't come out exactly
Like the way that I had planned,
But way down deep inside my heart
I know they're in God's hand.

I guess in everybody's life
There's been a time or two
When things come along to puzzle us,
And we don't know what we do.

A lot of sunshine in all our lives
And some thunderstorms, I suppose,
But it takes both the sun and the rain
If we want to smell the rose.

He's given me cause for laughter
And reason for a tear to fall.
The rose's thorns have pricked me,
But the bud is worth it all.

I'll spend my life being thankful
For the sunshine and the rain,
For the joy of Christian happiness
And the purging paid by the pain.

For the love of all my family,
And that of friends so true.
For the assurance of salvation,
Lord, I owe it all to you.

I enjoyed going down the Grace Baptist page and listened to three different sermons Bro. Campbell preached. Two was on 5-31-15 AM and PM on Mothers Day. Bro. Mike Morgan sang : "LORD PLEASE SAVE MY CHILDREN"
Then I listened to June 2015 the Father's Day Sermon. Wow that was such a fantastic Sermon. It touched my heart. I thank God for the men that went to Grace Baptist Church when I went there. And since I moved to Tennessee and go to Norris First Baptist Church, I praise the Lord for all the men that come out to Church. The men are the leaders and backbone of our Churches. Praise God.
