Today was our Memorial Day service for Purley Cemetery. We lit 6 candles in memory of those who have passed since last year. It was good to see old friends and we had some great music by Barbara Parker. The cemetery looked great thanks to Casey Joyner and his family. If you didn’t make it today we missed you. Remember you can still donate to help with cost of maintenance and upkeep.

Purley Cemetery will be participating in Wreaths Across America on Saturday, December 13, at 1:00 p.m. We will be placing a wreath on all 47 veteran graves in our cemetery.

Today was another great Memorial Day service at Purley Cemetery. We lit 8 candles in memory of the ones who have died since last year. Our crowd was great and it was good to see so many dear friends We also paid tribute to the veterans who are buried in our cemetery. We had some great music by John Fitch and the cemetery looked great as always thanks to Casey Joyner & family. If you weren’t able to attend this year we missed you and you can still donate to help with the upkeep cost of the cemetery.

Today was a great day as we remembered those that have been buried in Purley Cemetery during the past year.

Gaylon Scott (July 28, 2022)
The cemetery looked great and we enjoyed seeing so many visitors. If you were not able to attend we missed you. It’s not too late to mail your donation to help with the cost of upkeep and expenses.
