Mt. Vernon, Indiana First UMC is located in the center of Mount Vernon, Indiana. on Sundays.

Founded in 1815 with roots that go back to 1799 and the early Methodist circuits, we're one of the oldest congregations in Indiana. Worship services are at 10:30 a.m. Worship includes hymns with organ and piano and the weekly celebration of Holy Communion. Once monthly, our Praise Team provides music (typically the 3rd Sunday). We offer vibrant ministries including:

Reminder!
Holy Week worship services begin this evening with our Holy Thursday service at 7:00 p.m. The Mt. Vernon Ministerial Association Community Good Friday service is at Noon tomorrow. Then, we'll celebrate a shortened liturgy of the Great Vigil of Easter on Holy Saturday at 7:00 p.m.

Join us and walk alongside Jesus through the liturgies of the Great Three Days. After all, you can't celebrate the joy of Resurrection without the agony of Crucifixion.
