I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified. John 17:14-19. Sanctification. The refining process of the path. Being made like Christ. This is not home. It is a combat outpost. COP World. Make the most of it. Walk the path. Gain competence. Help the others. Make disciples. Teach and preach. Seek the Lord while he may be found. Win the day.

He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
“Yes, Lord,” she told him, “I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world.” John 11:23-27. First you die. Then you live. Real hope. The Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Believe. It’s Thing 1. Seek the Lord while he may be found. Win the day.

Because you are unable to hear what I say. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” John 8:42-47. Persuasive language isn’t always true. Consider the source. The devil is a liar. It’s who he is. Jesus Christ is the Truth. Ears to hear. Seek the Lord while he may be found. Win the day.

What will you do? Our forefathers ate the manna in the desert; as it is written: ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’” Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. John 3:14. The Lord said to Moses, “Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.” So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, he lived. Numbers 21:8-9. We’ve all been bitten. Fortunately, the Son of Man was lifted up. Look and live. Believe. It’s Thing 1. Two for one. Seek the Lord while he may be found. Win the day.

About an hour later another asserted, “Certainly this fellow was with him, for he is a Galilean.” Peter replied, “Man, I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Just as he was speaking, the rooster crowed. The Lord turned and looked straight at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word the Lord had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows today, you will disown me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly. Luke 22:59-62. Rock bottom is a tough place to find yourself. Fortunately, you don’t have to stay there. Peter didn’t. Jesus built the church on him. Repent. Go back. Fundamentals. Seek the Lord while he may be found. Win the day.

So the spies questioned him: “Teacher, we know that you speak and teach what is right, and that you do not show partiality but teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it right for us to pay taxes to Caesar or not?” He saw through their duplicity and said to them, “Show me a denarius. Whose portrait and inscription are on it?”
“Caesar’s,” they replied. He said to them, “Then give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.” They were unable to trap him in what he had said there in public. And astonished by his answer, they became silent. Luke 20:21-26. The long game. Teach and preach. They are watching. Tell the truth. It’s astonishing. Jesus Christ. The Way. The Wicket Gate. Seek the Lord while he may be found. Win the day.

So he called to him, “Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.” But Abraham replied, “Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.” Luke 16:24-26. Comfort or agony. Choose now. Death removes the option to choose and what has been chosen cannot be undone. Red letters. Time is running out. Seek the Lord while he may be found. Win the day.
