👕 What should I wear to church?

The answer is simple: come as you are.

You don’t need a perfect outfit, a perfect past, or a perfect life to walk through the doors at Eastland. Whether you prefer jeans and a T-shirt or your Sunday best, you are welcome here.

God is far more concerned with your heart than what is hanging in your closet.

“For man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.” — 1 Samuel 16:7 KJV

📖 Wednesday Night Bible Study Recap — Proverbs 9

Last night, we finished Proverbs chapter 9 and were reminded that wisdom and foolishness both issue an invitation—but they lead to very different destinations.

Wisdom calls us to leave foolish ways, receive instruction, and walk in understanding. Folly may appear appealing in the moment, but her path leads away from life and truth.

At the center of the chapter is this foundation:

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.” — Proverbs 9:10 KJV

True wisdom begins when we recognize who God is, honor His authority, and allow His Word to direct our choices. A wise heart remains teachable, receives correction, and keeps drawing closer to Him.

This week, may we listen carefully to the voice of wisdom and choose the path that leads to life.

Choose wisdom. Walk in understanding. 💙

📖 Mid-Sunday Recap — Isaiah 6:8–9

This morning, Pastor Hendrix preached from Isaiah 6:8–9 and reminded us of the kind of heart God is looking for:

“Here am I; send me.”

When we see God’s holiness, we’re humbled.
When we hear His call, we’re given purpose.
When we respond, He can use us.

“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.” — Isaiah 6:8 KJV

Thank you to everyone who worshiped with us this morning. Let’s carry the message with us into the week ahead and keep asking:

Lord, where can You use me?

📖 From Wednesday Night Bible Study — Proverbs 7

Last night we were reminded of just how important it is to have God’s Word in our hearts before temptation comes.

“Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye. Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart.” — Proverbs 7:2–3 KJV

Proverbs 7 gives us a serious warning: temptation can be persuasive, attractive, and destructive. That’s why wisdom isn’t something we wait to look for when we’re already in trouble.

We need God’s Word written on our hearts now.

When we treasure His Word, stay close to Him, and allow His wisdom to guide our decisions, we are better prepared when temptation comes our way.

Guard your heart. Treasure God’s Word. Walk in wisdom. Stay close to Him. 💙
