Sermon Recap | Week 4 — The Book of Job: When Life Hurts

Job had lost almost everything, been misunderstood by his friends, and felt completely alone. Yet in the middle of his valley, Job made a powerful declaration:

“I know that my Redeemer lives.” — Job 19:25

Job’s hope wasn’t in his circumstances changing—it was in knowing his Redeemer was still alive.

The Hebrew picture of a Redeemer points to one who rescues, restores, and buys back what has been lost. Through the stories of Ruth and Boaz and Hosea and Gomer, we see glimpses of the greater redemption ultimately found in Jesus.

When everything else is gone, Jesus is still enough.
Our Redeemer lives.
