The farther you get from Jesus, the smaller He appears. But He hasn’t changed. Your perspective has.
When Peter sat at the table with Jesus, he was ready to go to prison and even die for Him. A few hours later, following at a distance, he was afraid of a servant girl’s opinion.
What changed?
Not Jesus.
Jesus was the same at the table as He was in the courtyard. Peter simply allowed distance to change his perspective.
The same thing happens in our lives. When we drift from prayer, worship, and God’s Word, our problems begin to look bigger, our fears become louder, and distractions start competing for our attention.
If Jesus seems small today, don’t blame His power, His presence, or His promises. Take a step closer.
The closer you get to Jesus, the bigger He becomes and the smaller everything else looks.
