Hey Church, I just visited with Mary post surgery. She's doing GREAT! She's already been for a walk, had lunch and (I think) will be heading home today.

In an earlier post Carl mentioned that he had acquired zoom. This was acquired primarily to be used for the Bible Study. The hope is this will allow us to continue on regardless of weather or what-not. It is also hoped that if someone isn't feeling well, or for some other reason is not able to attend in person they could attend by zoom. If you are interested in this option please text Carl your email address so that he can forward you the zoom link. This need not apply only to Somerset Christian Church so share this if you like. Right now we are group viewing and discussion Michael S Heiner's "The Unseen Realm." It is very interesting and we would welcome your participation

Hey Folks! To begin with we need to advise everyone that, yet again, we will not be holding worship service at church tomorrow. The back lot remains solid ice, and in clearing off Old Maysville Rd. the snow plows have created 3'-4' high piles of snow (NOW ICE) which occupies what little parking we have in front. With great effort Sonny managed to clear off from relatively safe walking paths yesterday, but upon examination they have been re-covered by melting snow and ice falling, re-freezing on all those so that they are now again ice covered. So it's not for lack of trying. Happily there are two things that at least partially compensate for this. First, Carl will be doing a live broadcast tomorrow at 10am. Some prayer time, some scripture, and communion will be part of that. Secondly, We're supposed to get about 2 days of near 60 degree weather Tuesday and Wednesday. Hopefully we can start Bible Study again, at church, on Wednesday. However, if Wednesday Bible Study remains, Carl has acquired and learned how to operate Zoom, one way or another we WILL be having our Bible Study via Zoom. Anyhow, this will be yet another fading memory in a few more days, hopefully just 4 days😊. See you soon. Blessings

First of all thank you to the wonderful souls who waited patiently as I attempted 4 times to broadcast. Fourth time was the charm. Now for an explanation. I started doing this in 2020. Back then Safari was incompatible with FB Live. So I have been using Firefox, never once attempting Safari since then. I got a new MacBook a week ago. Firefox wouldn't work so I downloaded Chrome BUT I forgot I had downloaded it, so when I tried this morning I was using the wrong Browser. After ending the phone broadcast I called apple who after a bunch of trial and error we figured out that the issue was Firefox. The woman told me to try Safari. I said that doesn't work...never has. She said well try Chrome. I told her I didn't have it. We were screen sharing so she pointed out that I did. We opened it did a test, it worked fine. She then said for fun let's try safari. I said it won't work. It never has worked, but heck, let's try. Well it works too now. Only Firefox won't work. Anyhow, many apologies. Pray for me. It's tough going through life stupid.
