The Historic Cemetery of Saint Peter's Episcopal Church in Clarksboro, N.J. The Episcopal Church and burial ground was established as early as 1770. The church was taken down in 1846 and a new one was built in Clarksboro.

What an amazing day it was at the cemetery today. The South Jersey Cemetery Restoration Society organized a work party to deep clean and clear the property, and it went very well. The attached pictures tell the story best. We will be returning next Sunday to continue in the work of clearing, cutting and maybe even starting the process of restoring some of the stones (many over 200 years old). You are invited to participate in this community service. Contact SJCRS for more details. Special thanks to Todd Boyer for his leadership and putting this project together. The last of my 2018 historic research projects is here. This should especially interest those that live in the Mount Royal / Clarksboro area. I've passed this location 10's of 100's of times, and never stopped until today. Very happy that I did. We have such a rich history here in Southern New Jersey.
