There are still LOTS of carrots and onions to be had at The Font Porch Ministries.

PLEASE come and pick some up. The carrots are large and GREAT for juicing. The onions are HUGE and great for making onion rings.

There is bread out there, too.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CLOSE THE BINS WHEN YOU FINISH!

The Front Porch Ministries (TFPM) is happy to announce that some food has arrived and is available to you NOW!

We have the following:

Carrots are limited to five per person
Onions are limited to two or three per person
Bananas are limited to one bunch per person, regardless of size
Pineapples are about eight left
Thin mints, Girl Scout cookies, 12 boxes

Bags are available

ALL ITEMS ARE AVAILABLE UNTIL GONE!

PLEASE TAKE SOME AND LEAVE SOME. A lot of our neighbors are struggling to make ends meet and would love to share in the distribution.

I went to bed last night with food distribution on my mind.

A few families have called asking for food; one donor has asked me to accept food today; and two or three families have pleaded with me to help them with diapers for their babies.

I've done all I can, but we still need more. As of today, The Front Porch Ministries (TFPM) will distribute food and diapers as needed and as provided to us.

I am not sure when the food will arrive, but as soon as it does, I will post. We still have plenty of the black bags to share.

I will need some volunteers to step in since my former volunteers may not be able to join me in making the distributions. INBOX ME IF YOU ARE INTERESTED AND CAN DONATE SOME OF YOUR TIME.

There is a critical need for diapers—newborns, 4s, 5s, and 6s—two mothers with newborns, and the other sizes are ALWAYS NEEDED, with one in desperate need of size 6!

ALL supplies of food, diapers, wipes, formula, etc. are welcome and may be left on the front porch. NOTE: The doorbell is not working, but the other cameras are and will record the drop-off. HOPE to get a new doorbell this week.

I know it is getting late, and this post is late, but because it was not a lot, I did not post just kind of shared with those passing by, but more came, and there is still some food on The Front Porch to be picked up by those interested.

What we have:
1. Some very ripe bananas
2. Sweet potatoes, about two cases
3. Some very large onions
4. A few oranges

The food will be out there until it is gone.

A Tribute to Dr. Suresh Gupta, MD
Pulmonology, Mount Rainier, Maryland

The Front Porch Ministries (TFPM) and former Mayor Malinda Miles extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Suresh Gupta, MD, for more than five decades of dedicated service to our community.

Since opening his medical practice in Mount Rainier in 1974, Dr. Gupta has been a trusted physician, a steadfast business neighbor, and a constant presence in the lives of countless residents who relied on his care, compassion, and commitment to excellence. His decision to practice medicine in Mount Rainier helped shape the character of ur city and affirmed it as a place where quality care and community values coexist.

We also thank Dr. Gupta for his foresight and goodwill in ensuring that his longtime business establishment was purchased by the City of Mount Rainier. Today, that building continues its legacy of service as the Malinda Miles Municipal Center, a space devoted to civic engagement and the well-being of our residents.

Beyond medicine and business, Dr. Gupta has consistently demonstrated a profound generosity of spirit. Before his retirement, he hosted a significant food drive for Mount Rainier residents, providing tangible support to families in need. More recently, he and his wife were major contributors to The Front Porch Ministries (TFPM) Adopt-A-Family Holiday Program, helping fulfill Christmas wishes for seven families in our community. Their kindness extended. Far beyond donations, it carried dignity, care, and hope.

Although retired from the daily medical practice, Dr. Gupta continues to invest his time, energy, and heart in medical care at Mount Rainier. His legacy remains firmly rooted here, remembered by residents as the physician who chose this city, believed in it, and served it faithfully for more than half a century.

Thank you, Dr. Gupta, and thank you to your wife, for your love, service, generosity, and unwavering care for the people of Mount Rainier. Your impact is lasting, and your presence will always be part of this community's story.
