Theo Young was ordained to the Sacred Order of Deacons on July 11th at Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church in Pendleton, SC. It was a special day! Thanks be to God for Theo and his family.

On the weekend of June 29th, St. Paul’s, Greenville bid farewell to their founding rector and wife, T and Libby Brown, after many years of faithful service. T and Libby Brown heard the call and had hearts to respond to plant a church in Greenville SC in August of 2011. They stepped out in faith and were guided by God’s Word and prayer as they began as a small group in a home in Greenville. The Lord moved and watered the seeds sown and St. Paul’s Church was birthed.
T has shepherded the flock of St. Paul’s Church Greenville faithfully for the past 15 years- keeping his eyes fixed on Jesus. He has taught the people of SPC, as the Lord has taught him, to follow Him cloud by day and fire by night, not moving in our own whims or being tossed to and fro with the wind and waves of the culture.
And now in the same faithful posture, T and Libby have followed the Lord’s leading as they are called out to a time of rest and abiding in Jesus. We honor their ongoing commitment to Christ!

Join us this coming Saturday July 11th at Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church in Pendleton, South Carolina as Theo Young is ordained to the Sacred Order of Deacons. And don’t forget to mark your calendars for July 26th, as Matt Hillegass will be ordained to the Sacred Order of Deacons at Tree of Life Anglican in Clayton, North Carolina. God is doing exciting things across our diocese!

A glimpse into a few of Bishop Terrell Glenn’s recent visits with ADOC congregations throughout North Carolina. What a joy to celebrate confirmations and receptions with Church of the Holy Cross in Raleigh, NC, St. James Anglican Church in Mt. Pleasant, NC, and All Saints Weddington. We rejoice for the work God is doing in these faithful churches.

Our ADOC delegates enjoyed being together in Tulsa, Oklahoma this week at the Anglican Diocese of North America’s Provincial Council. Please join us in continuing to pray for the work God is doing across our Province.

What an extraordinary weekend at ! We celebrated the ordination of Leah Pinckney and Sidney Johnson to the Sacred Order of Deacons and welcomed 32 people through confirmation, reception, and covenant membership.

We are witnessing God’s faithfulness and the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in our midst. To God alone be the glory!
