This coming week Pastor Jerry will remind us that faithfulness to God may bring opposition, yet His truth cannot be silenced. Peter and John boldly proclaimed Jesus’ resurrection, and even though they were arrested, many who heard the message believed, growing the number of believers to about 5,000. This passage encourages us to stand firm in faith, trust the power of the risen Christ, and remember that God can use even hardship to spread His gospel.

Ladies, join us Monday evening and see what we are doing in the area of Service and Outreach Projects. We are part of global missions, charity work, and evangelism. Carla Andes is Hostess at the Gill House, 486 Union Street, next door to the church. We aspire to be the reflection of Proverbs 31:20 "She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy."

Last week, we learned about the miraculous healing that occurred through the apostles Peter and John. They had just healed a man who had been lame from birth. That sure grabbed the attention of the crowd! This week the reaction of the crowd will be one of astonishment and wonder. Peter tells the people to redirect their amazement towards God, emphasizing that this healing was an act of divine power. Peter aims to elevate people’s faith and understanding rather than focus on the miracle itself. Make plans now to drive over to Mount Pleasant Friends for coffee and stay for the 11 AM service.
