The first team of St. Andrew’s women wasted no time getting out to serve and minister to our friends in Oklahoma City on Sunday.
In conjunction with the team, they began their mission week at the NBI community center with “Sunday Funday” where they served a meal, played games, and connected with friends from the OKC community.
Tuesday nights are Discovery Bible Study (DBS) nights when a meal is served to the friends, and then the team engaged in bible study with the same community.
On Wednesday the team delivered sack lunches, water, and necessities to OKC friends in their living spaces. They listened to their stories and prayed with them.
Thursday night the team will do street outreach, going into the areas around the hotels and delivering the purses filled with hygiene supplies and gifts donated by St. Andrew’s parishioners to the trafficked women in OKC.
Friday the team will prep the food truck for Saturday, when the team goes in to the community to serve free meals around government housing, (these friends have food insecurity), and to our homeless friends as well.
Please pray for the team from St. Andrew’s on the ground in OKC now as well as the one arriving Sunday, the NBI team,and all those friends who they will encounter during their mission in Oklahoma!
