To close out Mount Pleasant Habitat's post on the 2026 36th. Annual Mayor's Cup Golf Tournament, we had the Annual presentation of the Mayor's Cup to the winning team of B&A Trailer Parts/Harbour Trailer Parts by our Mayor Wesley Lyon II. In addition to the presentation of the Mayor's Cup, Mayor Lyon also threw the winning raffle ticket for the 4 Texas Ranger seats, and the winner was Mitchell Mankin. Thank you, Mayor for selecting the winning raffle ticket as well as presenting the trophy to the winning team!

What a great, beautiful day Monday, July 20, 2026, was for the 2026 36th. Annual Mayor's Cup Golf Tournament benefitting Mount Pleasant Habitat. At the end of the day, this amazing tournament's proceeds exceeded $11,000.00, thanks to the many teams, donors and sponsors!!!
Mount Pleasant Habitat are extremely grateful for the following sponsors and donors: Texas Bragg Trailers for donating a trailer (with an on-line silent auction, see featured post here), EAG Mt Pleasant - sponsoring 2 Hole in One, Texas Rangers for donating 4 Texas Rangers tickets, First Federal Community Bank, SSB, Thurman's Pro-Med Pharmacy, Patrick Redfearn Realty, LLC, Top Hat Trailers, EAG Mt Pleasant, Baker and Johnson, P.C. and Scott E. Redfearn, Inc., Mount Pleasant Country Club for hosting this annual event and our Mayor Wesley Lyon, for presenting the trophy to the winning team, B&A Trailer Parts/Harbour Trailer Parts.

None of this would not have been possible without our devoted volunteer, Jimmy Harbour. He works tireless on securing teams, sponsors and donors year after year and does it all with a smile! Mount Pleasant Habitat is very lucky to have such a wonderful dedicated person overseeing this event. THANK YOU, Jimmy!

Now, of the teams, who braved the extremely hot day, Mount Pleasant Habitat is super appreciative of each one of you, who many come back each year to help support our mission! We applaud you and thank you for your continued support of our largest annual fundraiser!

Texas Ramps Project of Titus County

Mount Pleasant Habitat has started this Fiscal Year 2026-2027 (07/01/26-06/30/27) with a fluffy of activities!
On July 11, 2026, our "A Brush with Kindness" - "Seal the Ramp" Repair Program started with an amazing group of volunteers from Burns & McDonnell who came out and did an amazing job of sealing a wheelchair ramp for a client of Mount Pleasant Habitat.

Thank you to our volunteers, Austin, Wayne, Keely, and Jackson. We appreciated you volunteers for our First "A Brush with Kindness"-"Seal-the-Ramp" Repair Project.

Sealing the ramp for our "Partnered Family" will extend its life and help prevent rotting and warping of the wood in the future years, while making it more durable during inclement weather.

Mount Pleasant Habitat would like to give a shout-out to the volunteers of Texas Ramps Project of Titus County for building this ramp for one of our community family! Neighbors helping Neighbors, that's the way our Communities Non-Profits roll!

As the heat ramps up here, we will be using our A Brush with Kindness - Seal-the-ramp Projects later when the weather is cooler and we can safely ask volunteers to help with this project.
