This Sunday, we are planning to learn to sing a new hymn together! It is from the same songwriters who brought us our beloved "In Christ Alone" which has become a favorite of ours. This one is called, "O Church Arise" and it fits right along with Pastor Lee preaching on Ephesians 6:10-20 regarding spiritual warfare and how as believers we can be fit for the battle we all find ourselves in. So, we will not just hear God's Word read and preached on this matter. We will also be singing it to one another. A link to it being sung can be found here to familiarize yourself ahead of time with the tune and a copy of the sheet music will be posted in the comments below so you can look at the words. As it will be a "hymn of the month," we'll sing it this week and then come back to sing again in two weeks.

May God cause His Church to arise and put our armor on to stand against the devil's schemes! Look forward to seeing you on Sunday!

September is here! 🍂

This year, in place of collecting items for the Samaritan's Purse shoeboxes, we will instead be collecting items for the residents of Harmon House in Mt Pleasant.

Each week we will be collecting different groups of items:
☑️ Sep 6th - soap, bodywash, and washcloths
☑️ Sep 13th - toothpaste and toothbrushes
☑️ Sep 20th - lotion and socks
☑️ Sep 27th - combs, brushes, and shampoo

Please leave your donations in the bin located in the church vestibule.

Pastor Lee's sermon series on "The Lord's Prayer" (or better called "Model Prayer") from four years ago has now been uploaded to our website. If you would like to re-listen to these messages or listen for the first time if you missed them, you can now do so. We are working to eventually get all of the sermon series up since we have started recording them. May the Lord's Word not return to Him void but continue to save and sanctify His people!

In case anyone may be wondering there WILL be Bible study this morning at 11:00 at the church since Pastor Lee is doing much better and has his voice back! He thanks everyone for their prayers and looks forward to seeing our group later this morning and being back with the greater body this coming Sunday, Lord willing of course!

We hope you plan to join us for our annual Sunday School and Church picnic this coming Sunday at 5:00 PM up at our beautiful pavilion. It is always a great time of food, fun, and fellowship and we are sure this year will be no different. Hope to see you there!

*Don't forget about elections of new Sunday School and Church Officers to be held immediately following the service that morning!*

The baptistery is filled and ready to go for LynnJoelle and John’s baptisms tomorrow! (Just working on heating it up today. The modern luxury of having a baptistry!) Looking forward to witnessing the public profession of their faith and celebrating the new life they now have in Christ as well as God adding to our number here at Mt. Joy! In the morning message, as a way of reminder of the significance of baptism, Pastor Lee will go over the why, what, who, and how of baptism in what he refers to as the “Baptism Basics” from Matthew 28:19.

As part of our celebration and to officially welcome LynnJoelle and John into the fellowship, remember that we will have a carry-in meal following the service. We also will be taking up a special collection for the Alternatives. Yes! Pregnancy Center.

We can’t wait to be together tomorrow for this to worship and praise our great Savior and what He has done for us! If you are not a part of our congregation, would you consider joining us for such a time as well? We would love to have you with us!

We have a lot of great and wonderful things coming up in the next couple of weeks that you don't want to miss.

First, on Saturday, we are pleased to host the father/son Southern Gospel music singing duo, The Padgett's, for a concert at 7:00 PM. The concert is free but a love offering will be taken up for support of them and their music ministry.

Then, the following Sunday, July 26th, we will be celebrating John and LynnJoelle's new life in Christ as they both publicly profess their faith by baptism. We will be having a carry-in meal following the service to officially welcome them into our fellowship.

And, the week after that, August 2, will be our voting for Sunday School and Church officers right after the service that morning with our annual Sunday School and Church picnic that evening at 5:00 PM up at our pavilion. Be sure to bring something to share with everyone and come prepared for a wonderful time of food, fun, and fellowship together.
