Remember our annual mother/daughter banquet this coming Saturday at 5:30 PM! And, guys, don't forget to come serve our wives and mothers as well!

Mom's bring your daughters, daughters bring your moms, and grandmothers your granddaughters or vice versa, both biological and spiritual, to our annual Mother/Daughter Banquet on May 9th at 5:30 PM. It will be a covered dish meal with chicken, rolls and drinks provided by the church. Kathleen Forejt will be with us once again for the program. If you have an embroidered item, we are asking that you bring that with you for the evening. And, men, we can use you there as well to serve the ladies!

Don't forget about our Spring Congregational Family Meeting this coming Sunday afternoon! We will have a carry-in meal immediately following the service with the meeting beginning afterwards. This is a good time to come together as a body to share about how things are going in the congregation, pray for the Lord's continual help, guidance, and blessing upon us, our growth, and ministry, and discuss any concerns or questions with each other and our leadership. Looking forward to a blessed Lord's Day together!

Funeral arrangements for our dear beloved sister Cassie Pritts are as follows:

The time of visitation will be on Saturday from 11-1 at Brooks Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with the service immediately following at 1:00 PM.

While we rejoice that Cassie is with the Lord right now and doing better than ever, we grieve over the fact that she no longer will be present here with us. We are certainly going to miss her and that smile of hers that would light up the sanctuary each week! She was such a special and important part of our congregation.

"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. ~Psalm 116:15

"Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord—for we walk by faith, not by sight—we are of good courage and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord." ~2 Corinthians 5:6-8

Come join us this weekend to celebrate the one thing worth celebrating. Not bunnies and eggs. They don’t warrant that much fanfare and rejoicing. Not candy that you enjoy only for a brief moment. But the sinless Son of God willingly giving up His life to experience God’s wrath that we deserve for all eternity in hell on behalf of those who believe in Him and then rising from the dead three days later to conquer death itself surely does!

Remember our Love Feast and Communion service TOMORROW at 3:00 in the afternoon! It’s always a blessed time to reflect on our Lord’s love and sacrifice on our behalf and to follow His example of service in washing His disciples’ feet. Hope everyone can be with us for our family meal so to speak!

The Lenten Luncheons begin TOMORROW at 12:00 noon at the Mt. Pleasant Church of God Christian Ministries Building located at 936 W. Main St., Mt. Pleasant, PA 15666. Everyone is invited to come out for a small service helping us to reflect on Christ and His great love seen in His sacrificing of Himself to save us from our sins and the punishment for them which we deserve. A free light lunch will follow.

This week the meal will be provided by the Mt. Joy Covenant Brethren Church with our own Pastor Lee preaching.

Next week, it will be the St. John's Union Assemblies of God Church with their Pastor Phil preaching.

And, for the third week, March 25th, the Mt. Pleasant Church of God will take care of the meal with their Pastor Brian preaching.

Hope you can join us as a community to be fed both spiritually and physically at these services!

Don’t forget to set your clocks forward an hour tonight when you go to bed (or before) so that you are sure to be on time for Sunday School and worship tomorrow! You certainly won’t want to miss being with God’s family and hearing Christ speak to you through the preaching of His Word!
