Community Outreach for September will be collecting fleece blankets for Least of These of the Carolinas. They provide Bags of Hope for children in foster care, each containing a Bible, soft fleece blanket, a handwritten note, and items personalized for the child. They fill over 100 personalized duffle bags each month. We will be collecting fleece blankets for these bags and delivering them on the last Sunday, Sept 27.
Their Community Engagement Coordinator, Cindi will meet us Sept 27th and allow us to see their facility. Please meet at the church at 2pm to join us!
Least of These is doing an amazing work to support children in foster care, give them dignity in transporting their belongings, and letting them know they are worthy of being loved and known.
Their organization takes to heart Jesus' words in Matthew 25, "Whatever you did for one of the 'Least of These' brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
