The advocacy team is made up of survivors, clergy, theologians, mental health professionals, trauma-informed consultants, public relations specialists, graphic designers, communications strategists, researchers, members of the Diocese of the Upper Midwest and other dioceses, and parents who seek a better world for their children. While we all lead very different lives, we hold these thing
s in common:
We believe survivors. COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
PRIORITIZE the voices, experiences, and safety of survivors and victims. If you are going to share a post or a meme that you got from someone else, make sure it centers survivors. SAY 'NO' TO VICTIM BLAMING
Do not engage in victim blaming. Examples of victim blaming may include things like: “You shouldn't have been drinking.” “You must have sent mixed messages.”
BE TEACHABLE
If your post or comment is flagged by an admin, engage with the admin to understand how your words have violated our guidelines. NO DIRTY DELETING of a flagged post/comment
The admins and other group members have invested their time and emotional energy into addressing contentious or problematic comments so that members can learn to be trauma informed advocates. LANGUAGE AND NUDITY
Post with care. If there is a problem, an admin will contact the original poster. RESPECT PRIVACY AND DIVERSITY
Our community includes people from all different walks of life. What's shared on this page should be treated with integrity, but remember that it is still a public platform.
