Community Bible Study - Mt. Pleasant, SC

Hello 👋I’m Terri Nisbet—wife, stay-at-home mom, and Associate Teaching Director for the Community Bible Study class in Mt. Pleasant.
I live in Awendaw with my husband, Matt, and our daughter, Allie (10). I also have two wonderful bonus children, Taylor (27) and Audrey (23). Most recently, I became a grandma to a sweet baby girl, Riley, and that has been such a special blessing.
I have been studying God's Word through CBS and other Bible studies for the past eight years. During that time, I've had the joy of serving as a leader with both the Babies and Children's programs. It is truly a privilege to be serving my second year as Associate Teaching Director in this class.

The verse anchoring me this year is Psalm 40:8 (NIV): "I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart."

I love studying the Bible, and CBS has been such a gift in helping me go deeper in my relationship with the Lord while also building meaningful relationships with an incredible group of women.

Let us introduce you to our Teaching Director!

"Hi. My name is Riann Brodie. It is pronounced "Ryan" which is funny because that is my Husband's name. I am a stay-at-home mom and Ryan is retired Coast Guard. Together we have two daughters, Taylor, 17, and Ashlyn 15.

The Lord put the need for a CBS class in Mt. Pleasant, SC on my heart when a few neighbors and I were driving over the bridges to West Ashley each week. Mt. Pleasant, SC CBS was commissioned as a class in 2020. I began as the Associate Teaching Director from 2020-2022 and I accepted God's call to the Teaching Director position in 2024.

In 2010, I was invited by a neighbor to my first CBS class in Morehead City, NC. God used CBS to open my heart to the Truth of the Gospel of Jesus during the study of the Epistles of John where my life was forever changed. It is my passion and joy to bring the Word of God to others in my community and beyond.

My verse for my Teaching Director role is Jeremiah 15:16 (NLT) "When I discovered your words, I devoured them. They are my joy and my heart's delight, for I bear your name, O Lord God of Heaven's Armies."

Class is barely over but I'm already preparing for the fall study of Christian Living. This study covers the books of Philemon; 1,2,3 John, and Jude. Philemon is Paul's shortest letter but it's undoubtedly his most explosive! I cannot wait to teach it!

God gave us a beautiful day to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Community Bible Study and Sharing Day 2026 as we recount how God has transformed us through the study of Psalms.
