V B S • P R O G R A M • D A Y! 🧒🏻⛪️👧🏻

We had a wonderful morning wrapping up our week of “Kids Under Construction.” 🪛🧱🫟

There were some parents in attendance, and they were able to see and hear all we had learned in the past few days. ☺️

Our Bible story today was about Cain and Abel, and the importance of doing things God’s way, not in the way that seems right to us, like Cain did.

We also finished out our continued story about Pilgrim and Hopeful. 🏰✨

After meeting Ignorance, they were reminded the importance of bowing at the Cross of Jesus and asking for forgiveness for their sins. ✝️

For as Ignorance found out, it’s not our good works that will get us into the Celestial City (Heaven). It’s only through the sacrifice of Jesus that we can have eternal life. ❤️

A special thank you to Mrs. Janae Shipman for her outstanding work in leading our VBS again this year and for all those from our congregation who helped in various ways!

Most of all, we thank the Lord for His blessings on us this past week!

Some highlights from Saturday night! 🔆⛪️🍕

We heard more about Pilgrim and his journey toward the Celestial City. 🏰✨⚔️

After taking a detour, Pilgrim and Hopeful met the Giant Despair and were thrown in the Dungeon of Doubting Castle. But upon remembering they had a key, they quickly were on their way again. 🗝️

We also heard the Bible story about the Children of Israel and how God delivered them from the Egyptians by making a path through the Red Sea. 🌊

Jeremiah 33:3 was our verse for the evening:
“Call unto Me [God], and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things . . .” 👂🏻📖

Our final session of VBS is tomorrow morning, July 19th, at 10:30! 🕥

Friday night of VBS week! 😃🧒🏻⛪️👧🏻🌮

Our Bible lesson was taken from Ephesians 6:11: “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”

We learned about the spiritual armor that we as children of God possess, and how when we wear it, we can be victorious over Satan. ⚔️🛡️

We also heard more about Christian, the pilgrim traveling to the Celestial City, and how he defeated his enemy, Apollyon. 🗡️🏰✨

A game of Zonk between the boys and girls finished out our time inside, and walking tacos and games were enjoyed afterwards! 😁

It’s been a great week so far!

•Jesus’ sacrifice for us on the cross ✝️
•the red page of the Wordless Book 📕
•Isaiah 53:6 - “All we like sheep have gone astray . . . and the LORD hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.” 🐑
•Pilgrim meeting Goodwill and continuing his journey to the Celestial City 🏰✨
