Pate Family Cemetery Guidelines:
The following guidelines were adopted on November 19, 2020, by the Pate Cemetery Committee. These guidelines are intended to promote respect, reverence, fairness and consideration for all of our ancestors. The Committee is not responsible for any loss or damage caused by acts of nature, thieves or vandals. Prior to internment, all graves must be located/marked by
Tommy Brock or his assignee. No grave shall be marked with a Vault Lid. Graves shall be flat rather than mounded. Mausoleums shall be erected in the designated area. Floral and other memorial tributes are to be removed by the family within 2 weeks of internment. Each grave shall have a permanent marker with the name of the deceased. Footstones are to be at ground level. No non-human remains may be buried here. A one-time Maintenance Fee of $200 per burial site is requested to aid with future maintenance. This may be paid in advance and in installments, receipts will be distributed, and all funds will be accounted for. For maintenance and safety, the following are prohibited: fences, hedges, ditches, statues, figurines, permanent plants and trees, rocks, marbles, pebbles, glass vases, toys, lights and brick. Flowers shall be placed in front and as close as possible to the monument. Flowers shall be removed when faded or out of season. Empty plastic vases are to be removed. Winter arrangements shall be removed by April 1st of each year. The Committee reserves the right to remove damaged, faded or out of season arrangements. No debris shall be put in the woods, as this is not cemetery property. Volunteer cemetery clean-up will be the 1st Thursday of the following months at 7 pm during April - September, 6 pm in October, and other times as needed. Committee Members:
