It's easy to drift into being around the church without ever really being in it. You show up, you watch, you keep a little distance. And when something disappoints you, pulling back feels like the natural move.

Psalm 122 points a different direction. The psalmist rejoices to gather with God's people, because following Jesus was never meant to be done alone. It's a climb, and we make it together.

Anyone can tear things down. It takes far more to build, to restore, to lean in when it would be easier to step away.

If you've been keeping your distance, this might be worth sitting with.

And They're Off

Today's the day. Right now, our kids and students are on the road, bags packed and hearts ready, heading out for camp. We are so grateful for every prayer you've offered over them this week.

As you're praying today, here are a few specific things to bring before the Lord:

🚌 Pray for safe travels as they hit the road.

💛 Pray that the moment they arrive, their hearts would be wide open, ready for whatever God has for them.

🙌 Pray for our leaders, the adults who packed their own bags and invested their week in the lives of these kids.

🌱 Pray that what starts today doesn't end when they come home, but takes root and keeps growing long after the bus pulls back in.

They're on their way. Let's cover them in prayer!

Parents, here's what your kids and students learned at church this week so you can keep the conversation going at home.

From Mark 1 and Luke 4: Jesus walked into Capernaum, taught with authority no one had heard before, cast out an unclean spirit, and healed Simon's mother-in-law, all in a single day. The crowds were stunned.

The big idea: We can trust the One who has all authority.

A question to ask around the table this week: What's something hard or scary you're facing right now that you can bring to Jesus, trusting that He has authority over it?

Discipleship happens all week long, and we love getting to partner with you in pointing your kids to Christ.
