Parents, here's what your kids and students learned at church this week so you can keep the conversation going at home.

From Matthew 13, Mark 4, and Luke 8: Jesus told a story about a farmer scattering seed on four different kinds of soil. Some got eaten. Some dried up. Some got choked out by weeds. Only the seed that landed in good soil grew and produced real fruit. The four soils are really four kinds of hearts.

The big idea: We are changed when we allow the Word to take root in our heart.

A question to ask around the table this week: Which of the four soils feels most like your heart right now, and what's one thing getting in the way of God's Word taking deeper root in you?

Discipleship happens all week long, and we love getting to partner with you in pointing your kids to Christ.

Sunday in the House of the Lord ✨

What a gift it was to gather this morning and worship our Savior together. Every week we get to remind each other of the gospel and take one more step toward Jesus, and today was no exception.

When you're waiting on God, the mind starts telling stories. He's slow. He's distracted. He's busy answering everyone else's prayers and has somehow forgotten about you. If that's where you are, hear this plainly. He hasn't left you. He hasn't forsaken you.

Even when it feels like he's absent, he's already there. And when you finally see him move, you can be sure of one thing. It will be right on time. Not your timing, not mine. His. And his is perfect.

We tend to think repentance is for the moment we mess up. Like it kicks in once we've done something bad enough. But that's not quite it. Repentance doesn't begin when we become sinners. It begins when we stop pretending we're not. It begins when we stop pretending we don't need a Savior. And that honesty, as hard as it is, is the door to grace, not the obstacle to it.

Come as you are. 🙌

Whatever this week has held, Sunday is for you. Come sit with people who are learning together to fix their eyes on Jesus, no matter what we're walking through.

We're in the middle of our Hebrews series, Jesus is Better, and it just keeps getting richer. Bring a friend, bring your questions, bring whatever you're carrying. There's room for all of it here.

See you Sunday.

Here's the thing that makes the gospel different from every self-improvement plan you've ever tried. It's not about bad people working hard to become good people. Whether your story is dark or just a little gray, the truth is the same for all of us. We were dead. And because of him, now we're alive. That's not a tune-up. That's a resurrection. And it's not the kind of thing you can keep to yourself.

Join us this Sunday as we share communion together as a church family.

Remembering what Jesus has done for us, we come to the table with grateful hearts.

La comunión cristiana, la oración y el amor nos recuerdan que no caminamos solos. Recuerda la fidelidad de Dios, ora por otros y cultiva relaciones espirituales profundas.

A woman in our church wrote her pastors an email. Her husband has been out of work a long time. He wants to work, and he just can't get anyone to give him a shot.

You could feel the weight in her words, the valley they were in, the dark thoughts of doubt and abandonment. If she had stopped there, it would have been one of the most honest things you've ever read.

But she didn't stop there. She wrote, "However, we know that Jesus is our deliverer, and we cannot lose hope."

That's faith, not pretending the pain isn't real, but refusing to let it have the last word.
