Knights of Columbus Council #14786

Knights of Columbus Council #14786 We are the Knights of Columbus Council #14786. We are a Catholic Men's Organization dedicated to Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.

We are a local chapter of the Order founded by Father Michael J. McGivney -- an assistant pastor of St. Mary’s Church in New Haven, CT-- on March 29, 1882. The council, like many around the world, are based on the Order's founding principles of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism. The Knights was formed to assist in financial and mutual aid to it's members and their families. Social and int

ellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief and public relief works. The Order has helped families obtain economic security and stability through its life insurance, annuity and long-term care programs, and has contributed time and energy worldwide to service in communities. The Knights of Columbus has grown from several members in one council to more than 14,000 councils and 1.8 million members throughout the United States, Canada, the Philippines, Mexico, Poland, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Panama, the Bahamas, the Virgin Islands, Cuba, Guatemala, Guam and Saipan. We are based at the Mary Mother of the Church in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, and honorably represent the Knights in our daily works and our mission.
