It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of one our most beloved members, June Morgan. Her funeral will be at 1 pm on Wednesday , August 5, at Nebo Chapel. A reception will follow at the Mount Jewett veterans club.

We wish this beautiful lady a very Happy 90th Birthday 😊 She has done so much for so many and has been a dedicated part of St Matthews and Nebo Chapel, as well as many local organizations. Junie has been a dear and supportive friend to so many of us. Please keep Junie in your prayers and send her blessings on her 90th trip around the sun. On June 22nd we, at St Matthews Lutheran Church, honored this beautiful lady-June Morgan. June has been a dedicated member by keeping the books for Nebo and Bridge view cemeteries, St Matthews Pre-school, among other areas of the church. Junie is a dedicated member of WELCA, (she and Helene Okerlund buy books for Pre-school and other children) the altar guild, morning coffee committee, Swedish festival events, and other areas of the church. Junie has also been involved with many things in the community. Junie was honored with a gathering, gift certificate, delicious cake made by Nina Nogar, and beautiful flowers from the Sugar Cane flower shoppe in Johnson burg.
Not only has June been a dedicated worker, she's been a dedicated friend to many and her family's strength through many difficult times.
We wish this amazing lady all the best in her retirement (yeah right😊)and for many years filled with love and happiness.

Due to the extreme heat in the forecast, we have decided to move Wednesday's church picnic to the fellowship hall at St. Matthew's rather than at Kinzua Bridge State Park.

We still will be starting at 6 p.m. and invite you to join us. Hamburgers, hotdogs, water and iced tea will be provided. Please bring a dish to pass, table service and a bingo prize or two.

It’s picnic time! St. Matthew’s annual church picnic is coming up on Wednesday, July 15, at Kinzua Bridge State Park, and all are invited.

We will provide hamburgers, hotdogs, bottled water and iced tea. Please bring a dish to pass, table service and a beverage if you don’t care for water or tea. As usual, we will wind up with bingo, so please bring a prize or two.

Things get underway at 6 pm. In case of rain, we will move to the fellowship hall at St. Matthew’s and will post a notice here.

Our friends from the Presbyterian Church of Kane will be joining us, and we hope to see you too.

This Sunday- July 12th- we will be worshipping at Nebo Chapel in Mt Jewett. Service time is still 9:30am but at Nebo Chapel NOT St Matthews. We hope you will join us in celebrating God's Grace and his love for ALL of us🦋
