First Baptist Mount Ida Our church was built in 1914 and is still preaching the Gospel to this day!

Our worship service is mainly contemporary Christian worship songs with some good old hymns occasionally, and our messages are straight from the Bible and always hit home!

One of the most radical things Jesus taught was that every person has value. Not because of what they own. Not because of their status. Not because of what they can offer in return. But because they are loved by God. It's easy to show kindness to people we understand, agree with, or relate to. The real challenge is learning to see the image of God in every person we encounter... especially those the world overlooks.

The Gospel invites us to move beyond labels, assumptions, and judgments and into a life marked by compassion, mercy, and love. May we never become so distracted by differences that we forget our shared humanity. And may we never miss an opportunity to love someone the way Christ has loved us.
