On this solemn Memorial Day, we honor the heroes who paid the ultimate price. Today we remember their sacrifice with gratitude and humility. Their love still protects what is behind them.
Thank you. We will never forget.

Day 5 — The Gospel Sustains Us Daily

Scripture:
Colossians 2:6–7
“Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith…” (ESV)
The gospel is not only how we are saved—it is how we continue walking with Christ every day. We never outgrow our need for the gospel. The same grace that saves us also strengthens, comforts, convicts, and sustains us.
The Christian life is not about moving beyond the gospel, but going deeper into it.

Prompt:
Are you relying on your own strength or resting in God’s grace today?
Application:
Before facing today’s challenges, remind yourself that God’s grace is sufficient for every moment.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You that the gospel is not just good news for salvation, but good news for everyday life. Strengthen me through Your grace today. Amen.

Day 4 — The Gospel Produces Fruit

Scripture:
Galatians 5:22–23
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control…” (ESV)
We are not saved by good works, but genuine salvation produces spiritual fruit. As we abide in Christ, the Holy Spirit grows love, joy, peace, patience, and self-control within us.
We do not “perform” the gospel—we live in light of it. The fruit of the Spirit is evidence that God is at work in us.

Prompt:
What kind of fruit is your life producing right now?
Application:
Choose one fruit of the Spirit to intentionally pursue today in your relationships and conversations.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, continue Your work in me. Shape my life so that others see the character of Christ through me. Amen.

Day 3 — The Gospel Gives Us a New Identity

Scripture:
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (ESV)
The gospel does not simply improve people—it reconciles rebels to God. Because of Christ, believers are no longer defined by shame, condemnation, or their past. Our identity is no longer rooted in what we have done or what has been done to us. Our identity is rooted in Christ.
The gospel doesn’t deny our brokenness, but it declares that God’s grace is greater.

Prompt:
What are you most tempted to let define you besides Christ?
Application:
When guilt, shame, or insecurity rises today, preach the gospel to yourself: “My identity is in Christ.”

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You that my identity is found in You and not in my failures or fears. Help me walk in the freedom of Your grace today. Amen.

Day 2 — The Gospel Makes Sense of Our Problem

Scripture:
2 Corinthians 5:21
“For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (ESV)

The gospel only makes sense when we understand two truths: God is holy, and we are sinful. Our sin separates us from God and leaves us guilty before Him. But Jesus took our place, bearing our sin so we could receive His righteousness.
The cross shows both the seriousness of sin and the greatness of God’s love.

Prompt:
Have you minimized your sin or forgotten the holiness of God?

Application:
Confess specific sins honestly before God today. Remember that Christ bore your guilt completely.

Prayer:
Father, help me see both Your holiness and Your mercy clearly. Thank You that Jesus took my place so I could be forgiven. Amen.

Day 1 — The Gospel Is Good News

Scripture:
Romans 1:16
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes…” (ESV)
The gospel is not advice about how to improve your life—it is the good news of what God has done through Jesus Christ. The word “gospel” literally means good news. God sent His Son to save sinners, forgive sin, and reconcile us to Himself. Christianity begins not with what we do for God, but what God has done for us in Christ.

Prompt:
Do you see the gospel as truly good news, or just religious information?
Application:
Spend time today thanking God specifically for what Christ has done for you—not what you have done for Him.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the good news of Jesus Christ. Help me never lose wonder at Your grace and mercy toward sinners like me. Amen.

“Gospel” gets thrown around a lot in the church and Christian vocabulary; however, the true meaning and weight is only felt in our understanding of the Biblical meaning.

We’re quick to say that “we’re not ashamed of the gospel” and that there is “power in the gospel,” but what does the Bible mean when it says, “the gospel?”

The gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ—the Righteous One—died for our sins and rose again in victory, so that all who trust in Him are no longer condemned, but are given everlasting life and joy.

The gospel only makes sense in light of two truths: the holiness of God and the sinfulness of man. Our sin separates us from a holy God, and His righteousness demands justice for sin. But in His mercy, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to bear our sin and suffer in our place.

Weekend Reflection — A Lifestyle of Repentance
Scripture: Philippians 2:12-13
“…for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.”

Response / Challenge:
The Christian life is one of continual repentance and continual grace. We still battle sin, but we are no longer enslaved to it. The Spirit is actively working within us, shaping us into the image of Christ. Repentance is not weakness—it is evidence that God is at work in your heart.

This weekend, spend time reflecting on areas where God may be calling you to deeper honesty, surrender, and obedience. Repentance is not about living under crushing guilt; it is about living in the freedom and joy of the gospel.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, continue Your work in me. Help me to hate sin, love Christ more deeply, and walk daily in repentance and faith. Let the gospel shape the way I see myself and the way I treat others. Amen.

Day 5 — Grace-Fueled Joy
Scripture: Psalm 51:12
“Restore to me the joy of your salvation…”

Response / Challenge:
Repentance is not the end of joy—it is the pathway back to it. Sin drains us, hardens us, and isolates us, but grace restores us. A repentant life becomes a testimony of hope to others. Today, remember: the gospel is not just for the beginning of the Christian life, but for every day of it.

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for restoring sinners by grace. Restore my joy and help my life reflect the hope and mercy of the gospel. Amen.

Day 4 — Turning From Sin
Scripture: Acts 3:19
“Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out.”

Response / Challenge:
Repentance is more than feeling bad—it is a change in direction. We cannot cling tightly to sin while claiming to follow Christ closely. Ask yourself today: what habits, attitudes, or patterns do I need to turn from? Real repentance leads to real change.

Prayer:
Lord, help me not only confess my sin but turn from it. Strengthen me through Your Spirit to walk in obedience and holiness. Amen.
