Awana is a fun, engaging way for kids ages 2 through 5th grade to grow in their faith and learn more about following Jesus. Each week, kids spend time learning Scripture, discovering how God’s Word applies to their lives, worshiping together, playing games, and enjoying other exciting activities.

Awana meets Sunday evenings throughout the school year. We’d love for your family to be part of it!

Have you ever wondered if silent prayer counts, whether your conversations with God are reverent enough, or if praying about the same thing repeatedly shows a lack of faith?

In Episode 8 of Grace Talk, we explore these honest questions and discover that prayer is not about having perfect words. It is about coming before a loving Father who knows our hearts, hears every prayer, and invites us into a deeper relationship with Him.

Prayer gives us space to bring God our desires, worries, hopes, and unanswered questions. As we do, He patiently shapes our hearts and teaches us to trust His wisdom and timing.

What prayer have you been carrying lately? Bring it to Him again today with honesty, reverence, persistence, and faith.

Which table has your heart?

In 1 Corinthians 10:14-22, Paul reminds us that following Jesus is more than a Sunday decision. At the Lord’s Table, we are welcomed into fellowship with Christ and with His people. Because we belong to Him, we do not have to keep making room for the "idols" that compete for our attention, affection, and trust.

What has been taking too much of your heart lately? Jesus gave Himself to rescue you, and He is stronger than whatever has been taking your focus and attention away from him.

God’s blessings are gifts to treasure, but they are never permission to drift into complacency.

Israel experienced God’s presence, provision, and deliverance, yet many still fell because they refused to live with disciplined faith. Their history invites us to ask whether we are truly pursuing righteousness or simply assuming yesterday’s spiritual experiences will carry us today. Let’s learn from those who came before us, depend on the Lord, and keep growing as disciples who know, grow, and go.

Prayer can feel intimidating when we believe the right words or perfect delivery are what make it effective.

Episode 7 of the Grace Talk Podcast reminds us that prayer begins not with our eloquence but with our dependence on the Holy Spirit, who meets us when we do not know what to say. We grow by showing up honestly, opening Scripture, and trusting God with our fears, desires, gratitude, and need for guidance. The goal is not to impress others but to draw nearer to God and allow Him to transform our hearts. Even the simplest prayer becomes an act of faith when it is offered with humility and trust.

What are we willing to lay down so that someone else might know Christ?

Paul understood that following Jesus meant placing the gospel above his rights, preferences, and comfort. He met people where they were without compromising his obedience to Christ. That kind of life requires daily discipline, because surrender is not a one-time decision. As followers of Jesus, we are called to care more about the salvation and spiritual growth of others than about getting our own way. We should strive to be disciples who know Christ, grow in Christ, and courageously go wherever He sends us.
