5 loaves 🥖
2 fishes 🐟

Yet, 5,000 people were filled. An unimaginable miracle! Jesus said He is the Bread of life. I believe He quenched a hunger within them that was more than just physical. There’s a hunger inside of you today that only Jesus can fill. You can eat all those Texas Roadhouse rolls you want, but you’re still not truly full.

You might can quote scripture, a lot of us can. But, do you know the God of the scripture? Reading His Word is not merely enough. We need to spend time getting to know Him personally.

I challenge you today to talk to God. He’s a Friend, but He’s also your Provider.

What are you hungry for?
• healing
• peace
• comfort
• wisdom
• guidance
• relationship

He’s prepared a meal just for you and is waiting at the door. Sup with Him today and be filled.

“We were blessed when He pursued us as His enemies and clothed us in the righteousness of Christ. This is reminiscent of when Adam and Eve sinned- they hid and yet He chased them down to clothe them.” Even though they had betrayed Him and ran away from Him, He still loved them and pursued them with grace & forgiveness. He does that with us, too. It is evident everyday, that He is where the joy is. Don’t run from Him, run to Him; even with your shame & guilt- He is able to bring purity and great joy.

Ladies, can we talk about that attitude for a moment?

I’ll be the first to admit that my attitude has been my biggest battle. Learning how to control that aspect of my life has been rough.

As women, we go through all sorts of things that can cause our temper to shoot through the roof, for what reason? Hormones? An undiagnosed medical problem? Lack of sleep? Your husband saying the wrong thing at the wrong time?

I get it. I really do. At some point through the night, I had woken up and could feel my personality taking that turn. That turn down the wrong road. And, honestly, I don’t even know why. I mean, I was in my bed, sleeping. But, I have come to the realization, that just because you are asleep, doesn’t mean the enemy isn’t going to still come for you. I’ve come to acknowledge that when I can conquer over the devil during the day time, he tries to attack me in my sleep. I’ll have dreams that will try and knock me back to a place I’ve already overcame, or just simply wake up in a bad mood. For no reason.

Once I realized what was happening, I immediately rebuked the devil. “Satan, you have no place here. You cannot have my marriage. You cannot have my husband. You cannot have my children. I bind you, satan, in the name of Jesus Christ. You have to flee my presence. You have to flee my home for this house is covered under the Blood of Jesus. You cannot cross this Bloodline. I rebuke you, in Jesus’ name.”

This brings me to this verse, “..but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.” - Proverbs 31:30

Fearing God is to submit to Him. Submit your life to Him. The good, the bad, and the ugly. And, guess what? He’ll make the good, even better! And He’ll turn the bad and ugly into something that can and will glorify Him if you will just submit to Him. He has ways to fix this attitude. He has ways to change our perspective. He has a way to deliver us from the chains that bind us. And that deliverance is His Son.

Take it to the Cross. Take that attitude to the Cross. And once you put it there, don’t go and pick it back up. Let’s continue to march on. We will not be defeated. We will be a generation of women who will stand upon God’s Word and defeat the tactics of the enemy!

Sweet tea in the south is a staple. And I like my tea sweet.

I mean, I really like my tea sweet. 2 cups of sugar to that gallon, darlin. 😌

As I was fixing to pour some of that sweet tea into my cup this morning, I very clearly heard the words, “Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus.”

Whew. Here I am about to indulge in my favorite drink. But, have I tasted the Words of the Living God this morning?

The Bible says, “O taste and see that the Lord is GOOD: blessed is the man that trusts in Him.” 🙌🙌

In order to see that the Lord is good we need to open up His Word and taste the sweetness thereof! So many things can have us down and out, sad, depressed, worrisome, whatever you might be feeling. But, God says, “Hey! Just taste My Word and see how I can change this around for you. Taste My Word and see how I can turn your sorrow into joy! Taste My Word and see how I can turn your mourning into dancing! Taste My Word and see how I can turn your sadness into gladness, your brokenness into completeness, your numbness into feeling, your fear into trust, your anxiety into dependency upon Me, your depression into praise. Taste My Word and see what I can do for YOU!”

Tis’ so sweet to trust in Jesus
Just to take Him at His Word
Just to rest upon His promise
Just to know “Thus saith the Lord”

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him
How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus
Oh, for grace to trust Him more

I’m so glad I learned to trust Him
Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend
And I know that He is with me
Will be with me to the end

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him
How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus
Oh, for grace to trust Him more.”

Oh, for grace to trust Him more. When you can’t depend on anyone else, depend on Him. Oh, taste and see sister, that He is good. ❤️

As women we can often feel misunderstood or get caught up in what other people might think of us, but listen to who God says you are!

You are loved, you are chosen, you are fearfully and wonderfully made, you were made in the image of God.

“And you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.” - Colossians 2:10

”But thanks be to God, who always puts us on display in Christ and through us spreads the aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. For to God we are the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. To some we are an aroma of death leading to death, but to others, an aroma of life leading to life. And who is competent for this? For we are not like the many who market God’s message for profit. On the contrary, we speak with sincerity in Christ, as from God and before God.”
(2 Corinthians 2:14-17)

We are the fragrance of Christ. To some- an aroma of death, and to some- an aroma of life. Let that sink in. Is your character of one that is a sweet fragrance, one that would represent Jesus & life, one that shines His luminous light, and leads others to Christ? Or is your character of one that puts off a bad odor? One that lingers around and causes people to run? Is it of a fragrance that is displeasing & misleading of how we should treat others?

This is something to ponder on. We are to represent Christ and nothing else. Our attitude, our demeanor, our values, our actions, our choice of music, our choice of language, our priorities, and so on. We should be an illuminating light for Christ. We should always be on guard and be examples set forth for those we come across- especially those who may not have ever known of Jesus or those who may have wandered a little too far.

Our reason for our earthly life is to be ambassadors of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20.) Our mission and our goal should be for Him to use us for the glory of His kingdom- leading others to Christ, ministering, praising Him out loud for others to hear, praying for someone, being kind like Christ, loving like Christ, being disciples for HIM.

So think about it- what fragrance are you putting off and shedding onto others? are you putting off an aroma of sweet life or putrid death?
Stand firm in Christ, sisters, and spread the sweet aroma of our Heavenly Father.

Today, I’m thankful for a God Who saves.

While gathering with family for the Christmas holiday, it was brought up how thankful we are to have been called by God. That’s such a powerful statement. God chose me. God chose YOU. The Bible says that He called us out of darkness and into HIS marvelous light! I don’t know about you, but that’s exactly where I want to be. I’ve been in the darkness. I’ve hit an all-time low. I was at a place I wasn’t sure I was going to get out of. But, God.

Man, I love that statement.

You have anxiety? But, God!
You have depression? But, God!
You have suicidal thoughts? But, God!
You’re stuck in sin? But, God!
You don’t think you’re good enough? But, God!

Listen up ladies 👂

We’re not good enough to save ourselves. We are not able to rescue us from the pits of hell, but I know a Man Who can!

Call on the name of Jesus and you WILL be saved!

Call on Him and He’ll heal your hurt! He’ll pull you out of the water that’s drowning you! He’ll breathe life into you once again!

Call on Him. He chose you. Listen to His voice. Reach out and touch Him. He loves you. ❤️

“I won’t forget the moment I heard You call my name. Out of the grip of darkness into the light of grace. Just like Lazarus, You brought me back to life.”

Those words pierced through my heart this morning as I was driving to work. I immediately felt the urge to cry.

Some years ago, we had revival at church and this young woman came to pray with me. God had given her a word to speak to me. He said, “You have come so far, don’t you give up now.” The utter disappointment I felt in myself when I heard those words.

God, I know. You’ve brought me this far! Why am I looking back? Why am I creeping back to what You delivered me from?

It’s like a game of tug-o-war. Jesus on one side and satan on the other. Jesus could jerk that rope over in a second, but do I want Him to?

God is limitless in Himself. We are the ones who places barriers on what He can do. If we don’t want Him to do something, He’s not going to force it on us. He’s given us a free will. He could easily make every person/thing/being bow to His every command, but, He’s a gracious God. A forgiving God. And, He’s a God who wants us to want Him.

I decided at that moment that I wanted Him, too. I threw my hands up and said I’m done with this bo***ge! Lord, I give it to You.

Will you lay your burdens at the foot of the Cross? Will you give Him your worries, struggles, the chains that bind you?

Just like Lazarus, He can bring you back to life. Will you let Him?

“My mommy. My beautiful mommy!”

That is what my daughter said to me as I sat in front of a mirror to put makeup on for church last night. It hit me like a load of bricks, that I felt led to share.

Often times we, as women, get trapped in the delusion that we need to live up to the “standards” of the “picture perfect girl” that we see on our social media pages. The girl with the perfect skin, good hair, cute outfits, and caught up on the latest trends. But God reminds us that it is not of outward beauty, but the beauty within that is worth something. 1 Peter 3:3-4 states this; “Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in Gods sight.”

God created man in His own image (genesis 1:27); what more could we live up to? He thought that we were beautiful enough & worthy enough to be made in His perfect, pure, just, flawless image. What an amazing God. To create us in His own image, to portray Him, knowing that we would fail Him.

If only we had the eyes and heart of a young child- so pure and honest, seeing only what is good. I don’t know about you, sister, but I needed that reminder. And I’m thankful that He reminded me through the eyes of my daughter.

The next time you feel “not pretty enough” to go out in public, just remember that you are His masterpiece that He so diligently created & you are so beautiful in the eyes of our Maker. (Ephesians 2:10)

Sister, it may be hard now, but your time is coming 🙌

Why wait for the perfect time to send up a praise to God? Philippians 4:4 tells us to rejoice always, and then do it again!

Stay strong girl 💕

God put an urgency on my heart in the early morning hours to pray earnestly for my husband.

I refer to the KJV Bible more than any other for more than one reason. However, I love the NIV’s translation of the following verse:

“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” - James 5:16

Wives, we are to pray for our husbands. They often go through things they don’t speak of. It is vital and essential that you continually lift him up in prayer to God Almighty. This is one of the roles assigned to us.

If you are not married, I encourage you to pray these prayers and scriptures over your future husband. God hears all and He sees all.

May you be blessed, dear sister in Christ 🫶
