The Week Ahead:

And because we have purpose, we must not become weary in our well doing (prayer, serving the Body of Christ, displaying the fruit of the Spirit, etc.). There are prophesies over our lives that we must fulfill.

As we move into this new week ahead let us move with purpose knowing that there are prophesies we were created to fulfill and come into alignment with.

Most importantly, as we moved into the new week ahead let us move at God’s pace for us.

Mental health matters, and caring for it is not a lack of faith. As believers, we understand that prayer, Scripture, worship, and community are essential parts of our healing and growth. We also recognize that seeking counseling, therapy, rest, support, or medical care is not contrary to trusting God.

One of the subtle myths within the Body of Christ is the belief that a strong relationship with God means a person will never struggle emotionally, mentally, or psychologically. The truth is that many faithful people in Scripture experienced grief, exhaustion, fear, despair, and deep emotional distress. God does not shame us for being human; He invites us to bring every part of ourselves to Him.

Taking care of your mental health is an act of stewardship. Just as we care for our physical bodies, we must also care for our minds, emotions, and inner well-being. Faith and mental health support are not enemies, they can work together in the journey toward healing, wholeness, and wisdom.

As a church community, we want to cultivate a culture where people feel safe to be honest, seek help, heal, and grow without fear of judgment. You can love God deeply and still need support.

Seeking help is not weakness, it is wisdom.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

We remember those who have sacrificed for our freedom.

We celebrated Pentecost Sunday today here at Ebenezer!

Today we were blessed by the word preached by Pastor Jamie Flinton Bradham asking us "Are you a host of the Holy Spirit?". God gave her a word from 1 Corinthians 6:19, which reminds us that we belong to God and the Holy Spirit should dwell within us.

We must learn to host the Holy Spirit, we might host different Church services and have worship but the Holy Spirit isn't present. We listened to Pastor Bradham's four points;

1. When hosting the Holy Spirit we need holiness.
2. We need God's overflowing grace, His ability to do and be what we cannot do on our own.
3. We need to be sanctified.
4. We need to be teachable

The praise and worship team led by our first lady Rev. Aloma Taylor, worshipping God by singing Hallelujah as our response to His goodness towards us. Reminding us through song that the Lord is our Shepherd which is why we lift His name on high because He is worthy of our praise!

We were also able to honor and congratulate our 2026 MIP graduate Rev. Hannah Bradham!! She has completed the Ministerial Internship Program for 9 months, all done with testing and seminars. She is now ready for more of what God has in store for her in the Kingdom. We also honored the mother of our church, Mother Dorothy who turned 93 years young! God has kept her throughout her years and given her grace and the ability to see many generations within her family.
