First Baptist Church of Mount Dora

First Baptist Church of Mount Dora We exist to love people where they are and lead them to a life with Jesus. The church has always had a vision of reaching people for Christ.

The First Baptist Church of Mount Dora began in 1922 with 21 charter members, and has grown to over 1,600 members. Our purpose is found in our Mission Statement, "to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit through prayer, worship, the study of God's Word and fellowship, equipping the Saints for the work of the ministry to the glory of God." The Articles of Faith of FBC Mo

unt Dora are the same as those adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention, June 14, 2000, revised, and subsequent amendments, as printed in the pamphlet entitled, "The Baptist Faith and Message."

On the cross, Jesus willingly took our place. He carried our sin, our shame, our grief, and our punishment so we could receive His peace, His healing, and His life.

“He was pierced for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities… and by His wounds we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5)

Good Friday reminds us how deeply we are loved. Sunday reminds us that the cross was not the end of the story. ✝️

Come celebrate the risen Savior with us this Sunday at 7:30, 9:00, or 10:32 AM. We’d love for you to experience the joy of Easter with us at FBMD. 🌅

This is the hope of Easter: Jesus is alive... and He’s coming back. ✝️

Scripture tells us that when He returns, those who belong to Him will be raised and caught up to meet Him. That’s not just good news. It’s too good to miss. The resurrection means this promise is real, and it’s an invitation for you today, not someday.

Don’t wait a day too late to believe the best news ever told. Because He lives, we have hope, a future, and the promise of forever with Him.

Three words changed everything: HE IS RISEN! ✨

This Easter, come experience the hope, joy, and new life found in Jesus. Bring your family, invite a friend, and celebrate with us at First Baptist Mount Dora on April 5 at 7:30 AM, 9:00 AM, or 10:32 AM. We can’t wait to celebrate with you! 🌅🙌

We missed you! 💙 Wednesday nights are BACK tonight at 6:30 PM, and there’s something for everyone: kids, students, and adults!

After a week away for spring break, we can’t wait to gather again, reconnect, and grow together. Bring the whole family and come ready for a great night. We saved you a spot! 🙌

Grief is real—even for Christians. But because of Jesus, we don’t grieve without hope. 🙏

The resurrection changes everything. Because He lives, we have the promise of eternal life—and the confidence that sorrow is never the end of the story. Easter reminds us that hope has a name, and His name is JESUS. ✝️🌅

If you’re carrying something heavy today, hold onto this truth: the resurrection means hope is alive for you, too.

🇩🇴 Pray for the Kids

Our team is halfway through their time in the Dominican Republic! Every day, they’re building relationships, sharing the gospel, and bringing joy to children in local schools and churches.

Pray today that the truths being shared would take root in young hearts and that many would come to know Jesus.
