An Affiliated Congregation of the Global Methodist Church

On September 10, 2023, the Mount Cory United Methodist Church held a Congregational Conference at the Church to take a vote to disaffiliate with the United Methodist Church. A vote to disaffiliate was held and it was approved to disaffiliate by a vote of 35 for and 3 against. Our name was official changed to the Mount Cory Church of Faith. On Sunday, May 5, 2024, another Congregational Conference

was held to vote on the affiliation with the Global Methodist Church and passed for affiliation 28 for and 3 against. This will go to the GMC Conference the week of May 21, 2024 for approval. Mount Cory Church of Faith is part of a two-point Charge with the Pleasant View Church Congregation. As you can see, we are a congregation that has adapted well to change over the years. Today, we continue on the move again, seeking ways to meet the needs of a new generation of Christians.
