Today, we give thanks for the women who have nurtured, guided, protected, comforted, and loved with the steady and faithful care that reflects the heart of God. We honor mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, foster mothers, chosen mothers, and all those who have helped shape lives through compassion and sacrifice.

In this Easter season, we also find ourselves reflecting on Mary.

It can be easy, at times, to speak of her only in holiness and forget the humanity she carried alongside it. But Mary was not only chosen by God. She was also a mother.

She held Jesus as a baby in her arms. She watched Him grow. She listened to His laughter, worried for Him, followed Him, and remained near even in suffering. And in the shadow of the cross, she endured the unimaginable grief of watching her son give His life for the world.

Yet even through uncertainty, fear, and sorrow, Mary remained faithful. Her trust in God helped carry the story of salvation into the world, and through Christ’s resurrection, we are reminded that love is stronger than death and that hope still lives.

Today, as we celebrate the gift of motherhood, we give thanks for Mary’s faithfulness, and for every mother whose love reflects even a small glimpse of God’s enduring grace.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Grace 🌸💗🌿
