Class discussion and participation is encouraged. If you do not have a Bible, we will provide one for you. We will even study the Bible with you in your own home if you wish! Members are encouraged to grow in knowledge to become teachers (Hebrews 5:12-14) who can tell the people whom they know the "good news" about Jesus Christ (Mark 16:15-16; Matthew 28:19-20).

What to Expect When You Visit
We hope that you take the time to visit the Wabash Valley Church of Christ. If you do, here is what you can expect:
Kindness: Everyone who enters our doors will be greeted with courtesy and kindness (Galatians 3:28, James 2:1-12). Our goal is to encourage everyone to be faithful to the Lord (Hebrews 10:24-25). You’ll find that we are a very friendly group of people! Our facilities a simple and intended for worship and Bible study. Respectful & Heartfelt Worship: We believe that worship and entertainment are not the same thing. God is the focus of our worship, and our first goal is to please Him and not ourselves (John 4:23-24). Our services are simple, orderly and respectful (1 Corinthians 14:33, 40) yet from the heart (John 4:24). Prayer: At various times in the service, we will engage respectfully and quietly in prayer (1 Timothy 2:1-5). The Lord's Supper (Communion): Each week we eat bread and drink juice in memory of the death of Christ (Matthew 26:26 – 29). We do this every Sunday, like Christians in the first century (Acts 20:7). Giving: A collection for the work of the church will be taken (1 Corinthians 16:1-3). We are entirely supported by the offerings from our members. We do not expect nonmembers or visitors to financially support our work. Singing: We do not believe that music is to entertain the audience or to glorify the singer. We believe that the purpose of singing is deeper than that. Through song we praise the Lord and teach & build up one another (Colossians 3:16). The Bible: The Bible is our guide. It is studied in our classes and in our sermons. You will never be asked to accept what some person says about the Bible. We encourage you to read the Bible for yourself (Acts 17:11). Each person is provided with an outline of the sermon that lists the passages that are read. You are encouraged to take these outlines home and study them fore yourself.
