Half of Mount Angel Seminary’s deacon class of 2026 have been ordained to the priesthood since graduation on May 8, and the remaining will be ordained priests this coming weekend. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝗼𝗱!

As we reflect on the gift of the priestly vocation and celebrate the ordination of our Seminary alumni, we are reminded that their formation was made possible in part through the faithful generosity of those who came before them.

We are looking forward to welcoming the Galvin Cello Quartet to the 2026 Abbey Bach Festival on Friday, July 31, at 8 pm.

Their concert, “From the Opera House to the Salon,” will feature audience favorites such as overtures of Rossini’s Barber of Seville, Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro and Strauss’ Fledermaus with contrasting inward voices of Schumann’s character pieces and Wagner’s solemn music.

Walk with thousands of Catholics as we process with the Lord Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament through the streets of Portland on the Feast of Corpus Christi.

We continue to pray for the eternal rest of seminarian Thomas Kloucek and for all who grieve his passing. May the Risen Lord bring him to eternal glory in the company of the angels and saints.

Archbishop Alexander K. Sample will celebrate a funeral Mass for Thomas this Saturday, May 30th, at 11 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Beaverton.
