Join Walk of Faith Covenant Church for a special worship service as we Celebrate the Power of God!

God is still moving. God is still answering prayer. God is still delivering, healing, restoring, and making ways where there seems to be no way. And sometimes the greatest evidence of His power is the testimony of someone who can stand and declare, “Look what the Lord has done!”

This Sunday, Minister Carrie Haywood will lead us and share her personal testimony of the Power of God—a testimony of God's faithfulness, sustaining grace, and mighty hand at work in her life.

“They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony...” — Revelation 12:11

Come expecting to be encouraged and reminded that the same God who demonstrated His power yesterday is still working today.

What has your mind?

Isaiah 26:3 gives us a powerful promise:

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”

In this continuation of our teaching on the Breath and Wind of God, Pastor Darryl R. Johnson Sr. explores a powerful revelation: a stayed mind creates a clear place for receiving from God and releasing what God has placed within us.

God desires to breathe in us, on us, and through us—but our minds cannot continually be occupied by fear, bitterness, offense, anxiety, and the noise of the world while we expect to clearly discern heaven's sound.

The mind must be stayed on Him.

When the mind is stayed on God, the heart becomes settled.
When the heart is settled, we can receive clearly.
When we receive clearly, we can release clearly.
And when God's Word fills our heart and comes through our mouth, our breath becomes a carrier of His Word.

This message will challenge us to ask:

What has my attention?
What am I meditating on?
What voice is influencing my thoughts?
Is my mind stayed on the problem—or stayed on Him?

 Key Scriptures: Isaiah 26:3 • John 6:63 • Romans 10:8 • Philippians 4:8 • Matthew 14:28–31 • John 15:4–7

Every word we speak is carried on breath—but what is influencing the words that come out of our mouths?

From Genesis, where God breathed into man the breath of life, to Pentecost, where a sound from heaven came as a mighty rushing wind and the believers began to speak as the Spirit gave them utterance, Scripture reveals a powerful connection between breath, wind, Spirit, and the spoken word.

In this message, Pastor Darryl R. Johnson Sr. explores what it means to walk in the Spirit, stay connected to the wind of God, and allow our words to agree with heaven rather than fear, bitterness, hatred, division, or the flesh.

I will not let another spirit borrow my breath!”

When God breathes, life comes.
When the Spirit fills, heaven gives utterance.
When the Word fills our hearts, our mouths can speak in agreement with God.

Breathe on us again, Lord—and give us heaven’s sound!

Who Planted This? — Guarding the Mind and Living the Resurrected Life

Every thought is a seed—but every seed did not come from God.

Some thoughts come from fear. Some come from old wounds. Some come from the world. Some come from things spoken over us years ago. And if a wrong thought is planted and we keep rehearsing it, we keep watering it.

So before you believe every thought that enters your mind, ask:

Who planted this?

In this message, we’ll look at what Scripture says about renewing the mind, governing the soul, setting our affection on things above, and living from the resurrection life of Christ within us.

If you’re risen—**look up.
Think up.
Talk up.
Live up.**

Pride goes down. Love comes up.
Fear goes down. Faith comes up.
Bitterness goes down. Forgiveness comes up.
Old thinking goes down. The mind of Christ comes up.

Don’t water what God didn’t plant.

Today we celebrate 139 years of Mound Bayou, a miracle town born by faith, vision, prayer, and obedience to God. From the leadership and spiritual vision of Isaiah T. Montgomery to the continuing call over this land, we remember that God still prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemies.

This message calls the body of Christ to humble itself, pray, seek God’s face, turn from its own ways, and become quiet enough to hear the Head — Jesus Christ.
