MBA/ WMU Invitation

September 20th (Monday) at 6:30pm

We have been invited to hear about the ministry of IMB missionary, Robin Janney. She will come tell us about her ministry in Mexico.

Robin and her husband Charlie are home folks…you may remember them from Trinity Baptist Church in the years before they went overseas.

Robin is going to lead us in a craft and as she does, she will explain how she uses crafts as a mission tool. The craft that Robin leads us to make is going to be part of another mission effort…a partnership between the Morgan Baptist Association and Wyoming.

So, let's go meet Robin and learn about her ministry in Latin America and also take part in the partnership between our own MBA association and the Baptist in Wyoming.

Please let me know by Friday if you can be there so I can let them know. They will need to get the craft supplies purchased.

There will be light refreshments and a door prize!

Dear Women’s Ministry.

Baptist Nursing Fellowship is one of the Compassionate Ministries of WMU. It is a Christian nonprofit organization for healthcare professionals that Empowers, Educates, and Encourages nurses to fulfill Christ’s mission through healing skills.
The Month of May has been proclaimed Nurses month by the ANA; with Nurses week May 6-12th. During the week of April 26 through May 8th, most student nurses will be taking their final exam and preparing for graduation. The Baptist Nursing Fellowship Mission and Prayer Committee are making plans to bless the nursing students by bringing to various campuses, snacks, and small treats, as well as prayer notes during the week of final exams. We will bless the nursing students at Northwest Shoals 2 campuses Phil Campbell and the Shoals.

The committee is asking you as a WMU leader to help in the following ways:

Prepare 78 goody bags of snacks and small treats for the students during the week of final exams. The following are suggestions to include (bags and ink pens will be supplied)

• 16 oz. bottle of water – Janette
• Trail mix(no nuts)
• Chocolate candy bar
• Hard peppermint candy - Ameila
• Bag of popcorn
• Pkg. of cheese and crackers - Cindy
• Apple
• Breakfast bar - Debbie
• Kleenex tissue – Janette
• Pencils – Janette
• Hand Sanitizer – Donna
• Note Pads – Donna
• Potato Chips
• Highlighters
• Gum
• Chapstick
• Lotion
• Other

2. Write encouraging notes and pray for each student. If everyone wrote 5 encouraging notes we would have plenty.
3. Pray for the student nurses on a virtual prayer meeting May 6.

Please let Donna know what you are signing up for.

We will assemble bags after church on Sunday, May 2nd.

Your help will be tremendous in the coordinating efforts as we reach out, touch, and welcome these new graduates to the career of nursing. Janette will be delivering the snacks and treats to the students the week of April 26 through May 5th .
