Y’all have blessed us again. ❤️
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated meal boxes to The Mission. We’ve already been able to get some of them distributed, and they have been such a blessing. We plan on distributing even more throughout this week and again this weekend, and we are so incredibly thankful for every donation.
Thank you for helping us keep boots on the ground and love people in tangible ways. We appreciate every donation, every share, and every prayer more than you know.

📢 SUMMER MEAL BIN UPDATE 📢

We have placed a small meal donation bin at The Link under the breezeway for anyone who would like to donate items from their summer meal boxes that they won’t be using.

Please note: it is a SMALL bin. Donations will be picked up daily around 4:00 PM so we can get items distributed quickly and avoid storage issues.

It has also come to my attention that several families in our area have not received their summer meal boxes. If that is you, please feel free to stop by and take what you need from the meal bin. That’s what it’s there for. ❤️

Another great resource is Pete’s Pantry at the old sawmill. You can see it from the road, and it is stocked with non-perishable food items available to anyone in need.

If you need food assistance and can’t make it by before 4:00 PM, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We will do our best to help connect you with resources.

As always, thank you for helping us love our community well. ❤️

☀️ SUMMER MEALS ☀️

Hey Mission fam!

If you forgot to opt out of the summer meal program and your family won’t be using the meals, we’d love to put them to good use.

Last year, our unhoused friends absolutely loved the pre-cooked, pre-packaged meals. Several families donated their extra meal boxes, and it was such a blessing to be able to pass those meals along to people who were hungry.

One thing we learned, though, is that we simply don’t have the storage space to hold large amounts of food at one time. So instead of collecting everything at once, we’d love to do this week by week.

As you’re receiving your meal boxes, if there are items your family can’t use and you don’t know another family who could benefit from them, send us a message! I’m happy to arrange pickup each week so we can get the food distributed quickly without needing long-term storage.

EDIT: We will be putting a drop bin at The Link Wednesday morning (6/10) for your convenience.

TODAY WAS A GOOD DAY. 🤍🍝💦

Several of our friends came through today, got a belly full of spaghetti, cold Gatorade, lots of laughs, and even better fellowship.

And Y’ALL… the reusable water bottles were a HIT. Seriously. Thank you so much to everybody who sponsored, donated toward, shared, prayed, or helped make those happen. Those bottles are going to be used A LOT this summer.🙌

Also… I’d like to officially announce that apparently it is NOT considered a successful outreach unless at least one team member busts their tail in camp mud. 🤦🏻‍♀️😂
So yes. I slid, I fell, and my dignity is still somewhere out there in the mud.

But overall? Full bellies, good conversations, prayer, hugs, and laughter.. That sounds like a successful day to me.

Thank y’all for loving our community so well

Mission fam 🫶

Today looked a whole lot like kids playing at the park while outreach bags were being packed at picnic tables. Honestly… this is kind of just how we do things around here 🤪

Snack/hygiene bags are coming together, hearts are getting ready, we reminded so many friends this afternoon about Saturday, and we are so excited for Saturday!

📍 Outreach starts at 4PM (SET UP AT 3:30) this Saturday.
If you plan on coming to help serve, fellowship, love on our friends, or just be part of what God is doing, please let us know so we can plan accordingly.

Thank y’all for continuing to show up. Every bag packed, every donation, every prayer, every person willing to serve matters more than you know. ❤️

SOME WATER BOTTLES CAME IN TODAYYY 💧🙌🏼

We’re getting them stickered up and outreach ready for May 23rd!
And can we just take a second to appreciate these stickers my girls designed because I am OBSESSED! 😭❤️

I cannot wait to hand these out to our friends,
along with all of the other hygiene and hot weather supplies! Watching y’all show up for our friends the way you have has made my heart so incredibly happy. 🥹

Y’all know summertime on the streets hits different. 🥵

For our upcoming outreach, we would really love to provide reusable water bottles for our friends instead of just handing out a single disposable bottle of water. Reusable bottles give them something they can refill throughout the day instead of having water for just one moment and then nothing later. It’s practical and it lasts.

The challenge is cost. Buying enough bottles for outreach can easily run $70-$100+, and we fully understand not everybody can just drop that kind of money right now. But if a bunch of us give a little, we can absolutely make it happen together.

Maybe you can sponsor 1 bottle($1.30). Maybe 5($6.50).
Maybe you just share the post and pray.
Every bit matters. ❤️

If you’d like to help, message me directly or the Mission page. Thank y’all for constantly showing up for our community the way you do.

Donations can be sent to us through
Venmo: -Stevison-1
or
The Link Family Resource Center (notate it is for The Mission please)

Alright y’all here are some details for our May 23 outreach 🤍

We’ll set up in Pascagoula at 3:45 PM and we will begin serving at 4:00 PM.

We’ll have:
• A hot meal + bottled water
• Hygiene + hot weather kits
• Snack bags for our friends to take with them for later

Now here’s where we need YOU 👇🏼
We’re looking for:
• Volunteers to help cook the hot meal
• Help packing hygiene bags
• Help packing snack bags
• People to serve on May 23
• And people who will simply come fellowship and love on our friends

If you’d like to help, please message The Mission page and we’ll get you plugged in.

Not everyone is called to the same role, but we’re all called to love people… so let’s go do just that 🤍

We’ve had several people reach out lately asking, “How can I get involved?” 👀

Soooo… instead of just talking about it, we’re doing it.

We’re planning a stationary outreach on May 23 🙌🏼
(Yes, that means y’all don’t have to chase us down we’ll be in one spot 👏🏼😂)

If you’ve been feeling that nudge but didn’t know where to start… this is it.

More details coming soon, but if you’re interested in helping, serving, loving on people, or just stepping out of your comfort zone a little… let us know 💛

Let’s be the hands and feet—together.

We’ve had a lot of people asking lately how they can get involved and first, thank you. That alone means more than you know 🤍

The biggest way? Boots on the ground.
Come out with us. Meet people. Hear their stories. Let it shift your heart and perspective.

But we also know that’s not for everyone and that’s okay.

If you love to cook, freezer meals are an incredible way to serve. Soups, pasta dishes, or anything we can store in the deep freeze and easily heat up before heading out make a huge difference.

You can also support by grabbing items from our Amazon list we keep it updated with what’s most needed.

But above all… pray.
Pray for us as we go out.
Pray for safety, for provision, for open hearts.
And pray for our unhoused community that they feel seen, loved, and valued.

Because at the end of the day, it’s simple Jesus called us to love people. And that’s what we’re here to do 🤍
