***Let the Children Come to Jesus
Scripture: (Mark 10:13–16)
Focus: Never become an obstacle between children and Jesus.
Personal Reflection: The disciples tried to stop the children. Jesus said, “Suffer the little children to come unto me.” Our calling is not merely to bring children to church; it is to help bring children to Jesus.
Prayer: Dear heavenly Father, I pray that You will continually make our homes and our church places where children can encounter You, know You, trust You, and grow in You...in the name of Jesus I pray. Amen!

Devotional Focus For: Saturday, September 5, 2026
***The Responsibility to Tell the Next Generation
Scripture: (Psalm 78:4–7) “We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done; For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments.” (KJV) Focus: Faith must be intentionally transmitted.
Personal Reflection: Children cannot live on our testimony alone. We must teach them how to develop a relationship with God for themselves.
Prayer: Dear heavenly Father, I need You to help us faithfully tell the next generation about Your power, goodness, and faithfulness. Help us to walk in a way that is pleasing to You and help us to truly seek to model ourselves after You before our children. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen!

Good Friday morning to each of you my brothers and sisters in Christ. Our focus this week has been on children and in particular "Following the Example of Jesus." Mark 9:35-37. Join us on Sunday as we "Remember Jesus" during Communion Sunday Worship.

Devotional Observation For: Friday, September 4, 2026
***Receive The Children in Jesus' Name
Scripture: (Mark 9:37) “Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him who sent me.” (KJV)
Focus: Ministry to children is ministry unto Christ.
Personal Reflection: How would our attitudes toward children's ministry change if we remembered Jesus' words: “receiveth me”?
Prayer: Dear heavenly Father, thank you again for the Indwelling Holy Spirit. I pray today that You never allow me to consider ministry to children insignificant. Lead me and guide me to Pray specifically for the children and youth of the church by name wherever possible. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

Well, today I want to officially wish my Bride Sandra Kay Fox a very Happy 32d Wedding Anniversary. To God Be All The Praise & Glory for making a way for us when sometimes it seemed like there was no way. My Sweetheart has weathered the storms and rain as a long time Military Wife and on into life as a Ministers/Pastors Wife. Kay's love for people has been her very strong suite for many years. Good Wednesday morning to my New Zion-Moss Point family and our valuable friends in Christ. Thank God for yet another Wake Up Call He has blessed us with. The "Example of Jesus" towards children is our focus for this week. Let's get the children involved and consistently encourage them and love on them like Jesus did.

Devotional Focus For: Wednesday, September 2, 2026
***Bring The Children Into the Midst
Scripture: (Mark 9:36-37) “And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them; Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.” (KJV).

Focus: “Follow Jesus’ Example”: The Text shows that Jesus intentionally made room for a child. The lesson for His disciples was that the children were important to Him and they belonged.

Personal Question: Are children merely present around me, or am I intentionally making room for them to learn, participate, grow, and belong? Daily Action: Speak personally to a child or young person and affirm his or her value in our churches, and our homes, and communities.

Prayer: Dear heavenly Father, I pray that You will continually show us how to bring our children closer to You and into meaningful participation in Your church...in the name of Jesus I pray. Amen!

Greetings on this Tuesday September morning that the Lord has blessed us with. Let us Rejoice for the blessing of being able to see the start of another month. God is still Good and deserving of all Praise and Glory. New Zion-Moss Point family and our friends in Christ, remember the words of Psalm 124:1 "If it had not been the Lord who was on our side..." (KJV)

Today: If the opportunity presents itself, perform one act of service without seeking recognition and intentionally encourage someone who may be seemingly overlooked.

Devotional Observation For: Tuesday, September 1, 2026
***Seeking to be A Servant of All Sometimes Requires Being Last Instead of First
Scripture: (Mark 9:35) and (Philippians 2:3–5) “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself; Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others; Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus” (NKJV) On going Focus: Christian service cannot be selective.
Personal Reflection: Jesus calls us to value people regardless of what they can give us in return.
Prayer: Dear heavenly Father, thank you for your Indwelling Holy Spirit. Thank you for being a daily Shining Light for me. Please guide me and help me see every person as worthy of Christian love and service in the name of Jesus I pray. Amen!

*** Jesus Redefined Greatness
Scripture: (Mark 9:35) “And He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, “If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.” (NKJV)
Focus for us today: Jesus measures greatness by service.
Personal Reflection: Where has personal recognition become more important to me than serving others?
Prayer: Dear heavenly Father, please remove any selfish ambition from me and give me the heart of a servant...in the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
