Last Sunday, we explored Matthew 6:1, 5-9, where Jesus teaches us about prayer. In these passages, Jesus warns against two extremes: praying to be seen by others and using endless words as if we can manipulate God. Instead, He invites us into something deeper. A private, personal relationship with our Heavenly Father.Prayer isn’t about impressing people. It’s about intimacy with God.
Jesus reminds us that our Father already knows what we need before we ask. So why pray? Because prayer is more than presenting requests. It’s where our hearts are aligned with God’s will, where we experience His presence, and where He shapes us into who He created us to be.
We hope you’ll join us this Sunday as we continue our journey through the Sermon on the Mount and discover more of what Jesus teaches about living in God’s Kingdom.
