Today was a great day as we officially installed our new pastor, Brandon Witmyer. The service was well attended with many guests. Pastor Brandon and Search Committee Chairman Ray Trainham read and signed the covenant, followed by a duet by Kathy Cornett & Kim Trimble. The pastor Brandon's former pastor, Ken Cornett, preached a message entitled, "Doctrine, Purpose, Pastor, People." This was followed by the laying on of hands with prayer by pastors and deacons, including pastor Brandon's father. On behalf of the Search Team a presentation was made, including appreciation for the faithful service of Paulette Williams, who went home to be with the Lord. Then the rest of the Search Team signed the covenant followed by members of the congregation. The service was concluded with pastor Brandon sharing appreciation and giving a benediction. Pray God's blessing up pastor Brandon and Skinquarter Baptist Church! (The Installation portion of the service is on youtube.com/).

School is starting soon, but let's give summer one last hurrah! All junior high and senior high students are invited to come to our church for a bonfire on August 23 at 7 PM. We'll enjoy food, fellowship, and fun as we enjoy one more evening of summer!
