𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 was released from confinement at the Tour de Constance on this day in history, 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟏𝟒, 𝟏𝟕𝟔𝟖, after spending 38 years in prison for her Huguenot faith.

Psalm 68 was the battle hymn of the Huguenots. When the Waldensian Huguenots returned from Geneva to the Piedmont valley in northern Italy in the 1689 (La Glorieuse Rentrée des Vaudois), they entered the mountains singing this Psalm.

Here are all 17 verses of the Genevan tune on the Heritage Huguenot platform:
