As the situation with COVID-19 dominates our lives, we in Young Life are working to stay connected to kids. More than ever, loneliness, anxiety and fear can dominate feelings and staying connected is a challenge. Although we are unable to stay connected in person with our high school, middle school and teen mom friends, we have been working on ways to stay engaged. From text messages, to on-line dance competitions, cooking/craft demonstrations, trivia contests, shared movie watching, and bed time stories, we are working on creatives ways to remind our friends that we are still here for them. Additionally, we are providing virtual club (online) with games and contests and will share a message that reminds our friends that they are loved beyond belief.
We are not sure what the immediate future holds, but we do know the One who holds it in the palm of his hands and we will continue to do everything we can, even in moments like this, to point kids to Jesus.
